كتاب الطهارة وسننها
Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a vu un homme faire ses ablutions, et il a dit : "Ne sois pas excessif, ne sois pas excessif (dans l’utilisation de l’eau)." (Maudu)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ رَجُلاً يَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ " لاَ تُسْرِفْ لاَ تُسْرِفْ " .
Traduction anglaise
It is narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:"The Messenger of Allah saw a man performing ablution, and he said: 'Do not be extravagant, do not be extravagant (in using water).'" (Maudu)

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک آدمی کو وضو کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تو فرمایا: اسراف ( فضول خرچی ) نہ کرو، اسراف ( فضول خرچی ) نہ کرو ۔
