Hadith 154 — Livre 0: The Book of the Sunnah
المقدمة (كتاب السنة)
Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Le plus miséricordieux de ma communauté envers elle est Abu Bakr ; celui qui s’attache le plus fermement à la religion d’Allah est ‘Umar ; le plus pudique et le plus réservé est ‘Uthman ; le meilleur juge est ‘Ali bin Abu Talib ; le meilleur dans la récitation du Livre d’Allah est Ubayy bin Ka’b ; le plus savant sur ce qui est permis et interdit est Mu’adh bin Jabal ; et le plus connaisseur des règles d’héritage est Zaid bin Thabit. Chaque peuple a un gardien digne de confiance, et celui de cette communauté est Abu ‘Ubaidah bin Jarrah. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " أَرْحَمُ أُمَّتِي بِأُمَّتِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَأَشَدُّهُمْ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ عُمَرُ وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ حَيَاءً عُثْمَانُ وَأَقْضَاهُمْ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ أُبَىُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِالْحَلاَلِ وَالْحَرَامِ مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَأَفْرَضُهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَلاَ وَإِنَّ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينًا وَأَمِينُ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that:The Messenger of Allah said: The most merciful of my Ummah towards my Ummah is Abu Bakr; the one who adheres most sternly to the religion of Allah is 'Umar; the most sincere of them in shyness and modesty is 'Uthman; the best judge is 'Ali bin Abu Talib; the best in reciting the Book of Allah is Ubayy bin Ka'b; the most knowledgeable of what is lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh bin Jabal; and the most knowledgeable of the rules of inheritance (Fara'id) is Zaid bin Thabit. And every nation has a trustworthy guardian, and the trustworthy guardian of this Ummah is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Jarrah

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میری امت میں سب سے زیادہ میری امت پر رحم کرنے والے ابوبکر ہیں، اللہ کے دین میں سب سے زیادہ سخت اور مضبوط عمر ہیں، حیاء میں سب سے زیادہ حیاء والے عثمان ہیں، سب سے بہتر قاضی علی بن ابی طالب ہیں، سب سے بہتر قاری ابی بن کعب ہیں، سب سے زیادہ حلال و حرام کے جاننے والے معاذ بن جبل ہیں، اور سب سے زیادہ فرائض ( میراث تقسیم ) کے جاننے والے زید بن ثابت ہیں، سنو! ہر امت کا ایک امین ہوا کرتا ہے، اور اس امت کے امین ابوعبیدہ بن جراح ہیں ۱؎۔
