Rapporté par ‘Abdullah bin Shaqiq : J’ai demandé à ‘Aïshah : « Parmi les compagnons du Prophète, lequel lui était le plus cher ? » Elle répondit : « Abu Bakr. » J’ai dit : « Et ensuite ? » Elle répondit : « ‘Umar. » J’ai dit : « Et ensuite ? » Elle répondit : « Abu ‘Ubaidah. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَىُّ أَصْحَابِهِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ قَالَتْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ . قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيُّهُمْ قَالَتْ عُمَرُ . قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيُّهُمْ قَالَتْ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Shaqiq said:"I said to 'Aishah: 'Which of the (Prophet's) Companions was most beloved to him?' She said: 'Abu Bakr.' I said: 'Then which of them?' She said: ''Umar.' I said: 'Then which of them?' She said: 'Abu 'Ubaidah

عبداللہ بن شقیق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ میں آپ کو سب سے زیادہ کون محبوب تھا؟ کہا: ابوبکر، میں نے پوچھا: پھر کون؟ کہا: عمر، میں نے پوچھا: پھر کون؟ کہا: ابوعبیدہ ۱؎۔
