Hadith 7313 — Livre 96: Holding Fast to the Qur'an and Sunnah
كتاب الاعتصام بالكتاب والسنة
Rapporté par Jabir bin `Abdullah : Lorsque ce verset a été révélé au Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) : « Dis : Il a le pouvoir de vous envoyer un châtiment d'en haut » (6.65), il a dit : « Ô Allah ! Je cherche refuge auprès de Ton Visage contre ce châtiment. » Et quand il a été révélé : « ...ou de dessous vos pieds. » (6.65), il a dit : « Ô Allah ! Je cherche refuge auprès de Ton Visage contre cela. » Et quand ce verset a été révélé : « ...ou de vous diviser en groupes ennemis et de vous faire goûter la violence les uns des autres... » (6.65), il a dit : « Ces deux avertissements sont plus légers que les précédents. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ لَمَّا نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم {قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ} قَالَ " أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ ". {أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ} قَالَ " أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ ". فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ} قَالَ " هَاتَانِ أَهْوَنُ أَوْ أَيْسَرُ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:When the (following) Verse was revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ): 'Say: He has power to send torment on you from above,'..(6.65) he said, "O Allah! I seek refuge with Your Face (from that punishment)." And when this was revealed: '..or from beneath your feet.' (6.65) he said, "O Allah! I seek refuge with Your Face (from that)." And when this Verse was revealed: '..or to cover you with confusion in partystrife, and make you to taste the violence of one another,'...(6.65) he said: "These two warnings are easier (than the previous ones)

ہم سے علی بن عبداللہ مدینی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن دینار نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے سنا، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «قل هو القادر على أن يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم» کہ ”کہو کہ وہ اس پر قادر ہے کہ تم پر تمہارے اوپر سے عذاب بھیجے۔“ تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کہا کہ میں تیرے با عظمت و بزرگ منہ کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ «أو من تحت أرجلكم» ”یا تمہارے پاؤں کے نیچے سے“ ( عذاب بھیجے ) تو اس پر پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کہا کہ میں تیرے مبارک منہ کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں، پھر جب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی «أو يلبسكم شيعا ويذيق بعضكم بأس بعض» کہ ”یا تمہیں فرقوں میں تقسیم کر دے اور تم میں سے بعض کو بعض کا خوف چکھائے“ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یہ دونوں آسان و سہل ہیں۔
