Hadith 7159 — Livre 93: Judgments (Ahkaam)

Rapporté par Abu Mas`ud Al-Ansari : Un homme est venu voir le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ! Par Allah, je n’arrive pas à assister à la prière du matin en groupe parce que untel (Mu`adh bin Jabal) rallonge trop la prière quand il la dirige. » Je n’ai jamais vu le Prophète (ﷺ) aussi en colère en donnant un conseil que ce jour-là. Il a alors dit : « Ô gens ! Certains d’entre vous font fuir les autres des bonnes actions, comme la prière. Donc, si l’un d’entre vous dirige la prière, qu’il la raccourcisse, car parmi les fidèles il y a des personnes âgées, des faibles et des gens occupés. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنِّي وَاللَّهِ لأَتَأَخَّرُ عَنْ صَلاَةِ الْغَدَاةِ مِنْ أَجْلِ فُلاَنٍ، مِمَّا يُطِيلُ بِنَا فِيهَا. قَالَ فَمَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطُّ أَشَدَّ غَضَبًا فِي مَوْعِظَةٍ مِنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُنَفِّرِينَ، فَأَيُّكُمْ مَا صَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ فَلْيُوجِزْ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِمُ الْكَبِيرَ وَالضَّعِيفَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Mas`ud Al-Ansari:A man came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! By Allah, I fail to attend the morning congregational prayer because so-and-so (i.e., Mu`adh bin Jabal) prolongs the prayer when he leads us for it." I had never seen the Prophet (ﷺ) more furious in giving advice than he was on that day. He then said, "O people! some of you make others dislike (good deeds, i.e. prayers etc). So whoever among you leads the people in prayer, he should shorten it because among them there are the old, the weak and the busy (needy having some jobs to do). (See Hadith No. 90, Vol)

ہم سے محمد بن مقاتل نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو عبداللہ نے خبر دی، کہا ہم کو اسماعیل بن ابی خالد نے خبر دی، انہیں قیس ابن ابی حازم نے، ان سے ابومسعود انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ایک آدمی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں واللہ صبح کی جماعت میں فلاں ( امام معاذ بن جبل یا ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہما ) کی وجہ سے شرکت نہیں کر پاتا کیونکہ وہ ہمارے ساتھ اس نماز کو بہت لمبی کر دیتے ہیں۔ ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو وعظ و نصیحت کے وقت اس سے زیادہ غضب ناک ہوتا کبھی نہیں دیکھا جیسا کہ آپ اس دن تھے۔ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اے لوگو! تم میں سے بعض نمازیوں کو نفرت دلانے والے ہیں، پس تم میں سے جو شخص بھی لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائے اسے اختصار کرنا چاہئے کیونکہ جماعت میں بوڑھے، بچے اور ضرورت مند سب ہی ہوتے ہیں۔“
