Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحًا خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا ".
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ibn `Umar:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It is better for a man to fill the inside of his body with pus than to fill it with poetry

ہم سے عبیداللہ بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو حنظلہ نے خبر دی، انہیں سالم نے اور انہیں عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اگر تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنا پیٹ پیپ سے بھرے تو یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ اسے شعر سے بھرے۔“
