Rapporté par Ubayy ibn Ka'b رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Abu al-Mundhir, quel est le verset du Livre d’Allah que tu as qui est le plus grand ? » J’ai répondu : « Allah et Son Messager savent mieux. » Il a répété : « Abu al-Mundhir, quel est le verset du Livre d’Allah que tu as qui est le plus grand ? » J’ai dit : « Allah, il n’y a de divinité que Lui, le Vivant, Celui qui subsiste par Lui-même. » Alors il m’a frappé sur la poitrine et a dit : « Que la connaissance te soit douce, Abu al-Mundhir. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّلِيلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَىُّ آيَةٍ مَعَكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ أَعْظَمُ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ . قَالَ " أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ أَىُّ آيَةٍ مَعَكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ أَعْظَمُ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ { اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْحَىُّ الْقَيُّومُ } قَالَ فَضَرَبَ فِي صَدْرِي وَقَالَ " لِيَهْنِ لَكَ يَا أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ الْعِلْمُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ubayy b. Ka'b said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Abu al-Mundhir, which verse of Allah's Book that you have is creates ? I replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. He said: Abu al-Mundhir, which verse of Allah's that you have is greatest ? I said: Allah, there is no god but He, the Living, the Eternal. Thereupon he struck me on the beast and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, Abu al-Mundhir
Traduction en ourdou
ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اے ابومنذر! ۱؎ کتاب اللہ کی کون سی آیت تمہارے نزدیک سب سے باعظمت ۲؎ ہے؟ ، میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ اور اس کے رسول زیادہ جانتے ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر فرمایا: ابومنذر! کتاب اللہ کی کون سی آیت تمہارے نزدیک سب سے بڑی ہے؟ ، میں نے عرض کیا: «الله لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم» ، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے سینے کو تھپتھپایا اور فرمایا: اے ابومنذر! تمہیں علم مبارک ہو ۔
