Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As رضي الله عنه : Yazid ibn Abdullah a dit que Abdullah ibn Amr a demandé au Prophète ﷺ : « En combien de jours dois-je terminer la récitation complète du Coran, Messager d’Allah ? » Il répondit : « En un mois. » Il dit : « J’ai plus d’énergie pour le terminer en moins de temps. » Il continua à répéter ces paroles et à réduire la durée jusqu’à ce qu’il dise : « Achève la récitation en sept jours. » Il dit encore : « J’ai plus d’énergie pour le terminer en moins de temps. » Le Prophète ﷺ dit : « Celui qui termine la récitation du Coran en moins de trois jours ne le comprend pas. »

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي كَمْ أَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ " فِي شَهْرٍ " . قَالَ إِنِّي أَقْوَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ - يُرَدِّدُ الْكَلاَمَ أَبُو مُوسَى - وَتَنَاقَصَهُ حَتَّى قَالَ " اقْرَأْهُ فِي سَبْعٍ " . قَالَ إِنِّي أَقْوَى مِنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ " لاَ يَفْقَهُ مَنْ قَرَأَهُ فِي أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: Yazid ibn Abdullah said that Abdullah ibn Amr asked the Prophet (ﷺ): In how many days should I complete the recitation of the whole Qur'an, Messenger of Allah? He replied: In one month. He said: I am more energetic to complete it in a period less than this. He kept on repeating these words and lessening the period until he said: Complete its recitation in seven days. He again said: I am more energetic to complete it in a period less than this. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: He who finishes the recitation of the Qur'an in less than three days does not understand it
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں قرآن کتنے دنوں میں ختم کروں؟ فرمایا: ایک ماہ میں ، کہا: میں اس سے زیادہ کی قدرت رکھتا ہوں ( ابوموسیٰ یعنی محمد بن مثنیٰ اس بات کو باربار دہراتے رہے ) آپ اسے کم کرتے گئے یہاں تک کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے سات دن میں ختم کیا کرو ، کہا: میں اس سے زیادہ کی طاقت رکھتا ہوں، فرمایا: وہ قرآن نہیں سمجھتا جو اسے تین دن سے کم میں پڑھے ۱؎ ۔
