Hadith 4796 — Livre 43: General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

Rapporté par Abu Qatadah رضي الله عنه : Nous étions assis avec ‘Imran b. Hussain et Bushair b. Ka‘b était aussi là. ‘Imran b. Hussain a rapporté que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « La pudeur est entièrement bonne », ou il a dit : « La pudeur est bonne en tout. » Bushair b. Ka‘b a dit : « Nous trouvons dans certains livres qu’il y a une pudeur qui apporte la paix et la dignité, et une pudeur qui rend faible. » ‘Imran b. Hussain a répété les mêmes paroles. Alors ‘Imran s’est mis en colère au point que ses yeux sont devenus rouges, et il a dit : « Ne vois-tu pas que je transmets une tradition du Messager d’Allah ﷺ et toi, tu parles de tes livres ? » (Qatadah a dit : Nous avons dit : Abu Nujaid, cela suffit)

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ وَثَمَّ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ فَحَدَّثَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ " . أَوْ قَالَ " الْحَيَاءُ كُلُّهُ خَيْرٌ " . فَقَالَ بُشَيْرُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ إِنَّا نَجِدُ فِي بَعْضِ الْكُتُبِ أَنَّ مِنْهُ سَكِينَةً وَوَقَارًا وَمِنْهُ ضَعْفًا . فَأَعَادَ عِمْرَانُ الْحَدِيثَ وَأَعَادَ بُشَيْرٌ الْكَلاَمَ قَالَ فَغَضِبَ عِمْرَانُ حَتَّى احْمَرَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ وَقَالَ أَلاَ أَرَانِي أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ كُتُبِكَ . قَالَ قُلْنَا يَا أَبَا نُجَيْدٍ إِيهٍ إِيهٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Qatadah said :We were sitting with `Imran b. Hussain and Bushair b. Ka`b was also there. `Imran b. Hussain reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: Modesty is good altogether, or he said: Modesty is altogether good. Bushair b. Ka`b said : We find in some books that there is a modesty which produces peace and dignified bearing, and there is a modesty which produces weakness. `Imran b. Hussain repeated the same words. So `Imran became angry so much so that his eyes became red, and he said : Don’t you see that I am transmitting a tradition from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and you are mentioning something from your books? He (Qatadah) said : We said : Abu Nujaid, it is sufficient

ابوقتادہ کہتے ہیں ہم عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ تھے اور وہاں بشیر بن کعب بھی تھے تو عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: حیاء خیر ہے پورا کا پورا، یا کہا حیاء پورا کا پورا خیر ہے،، اس پر بشیر بن کعب نے کہا: ہم بعض کتابوں میں لکھا پاتے ہیں کہ حیاء میں سے کچھ تو سکینہ اور وقار ہے، اور کچھ ضعف و ناتوانی، یہ سن کر عمران نے حدیث دہرائی تو بشیر نے پھر اپنی بات دہرائی تو عمران رضی اللہ عنہ غصہ ہو گئے یہاں تک کہ ان کی آنکھیں سرخ ہو گئیں، اور بولے: میں تم سے حدیث رسول اللہ بیان کر رہا ہوں، اور تم اپنی کتابوں کے بارے میں مجھ سے بیان کرتے ہو۔ ابوقتادہ کہتے ہیں: ہم نے کہا: اے ابونجید ( عمران کی کنیت ہے ) چھوڑئیے جانے دیجئیے۔
