Hadith 4747 — Livre 42: Model Behavior of the Prophet (Kitab Al-Sunnah)

Rapporté par Anas b. Malik : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ s’est assoupi un court instant puis s’est réveillé en souriant. Il a dit (ou on lui a demandé) : « Ô Messager d’Allah ! Pourquoi as-tu ri ? » Il répondit : « Une sourate vient de m’être révélée à l’instant. » Puis il récita : « Au nom d’Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux. Nous t’avons certes accordé l’abondance (al-Kawthar) » jusqu’à la fin. Après l’avoir récitée, il demanda : « Savez-vous ce qu’est al-Kawthar ? » Ils répondirent : « Allah et Son Messager savent mieux. » Il dit : « C’est une rivière que mon Seigneur, le Très-Haut, m’a promise au Paradis : il y a beaucoup de bien et, sur ses bords, il y a un bassin auquel ma communauté viendra le Jour de la Résurrection. Il y a autant de coupes que d’étoiles dans le ciel. »

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْمُخْتَارِ بْنِ فُلْفُلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ : أَغْفَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِغْفَاءَةً فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مُتَبَسِّمًا، فَإِمَّا قَالَ لَهُمْ وَإِمَّا قَالُوا لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِمَ ضَحِكْتَ فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَىَّ آنِفًا سُورَةٌ " . فَقَرَأَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ {إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ} حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا فَلَمَّا قَرَأَهَا قَالَ : " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا الْكَوْثَرُ " . قَالُوا : اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ . قَالَ : " فَإِنَّهُ نَهْرٌ وَعَدَنِيهِ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَعَلَيْهِ خَيْرٌ كَثِيرٌ عَلَيْهِ حَوْضٌ تَرِدُ عَلَيْهِ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ آنِيَتُهُ عَدَدُ الْكَوَاكِبِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Anas b. Malik said:The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) dozed for a short while and raised his smiling. He either said to them(people) or they said to him: Messenger of Allah! Why did you laugh? He said: A surah has been revealed to me just now, and then he recited: “In the name of Allah, Most Gracious. Most Merciful. To thee We have granted the fount (of abundance)” up to the end. When he recited, he asked: Do you know what al-kauthar is? They replied: Allah and his Apostle know best. He said: It is a river which my Lord, the Exalted, has promised me( to grant) in Paradise: there is abundance of good and upon it there is a pond which my people will approach on the Day of Resurrection. There are vessels as numerous as stars(in the sky)

مختار بن فلفل کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا: ( ایک بار ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر ہلکی اونگھ طاری ہوئی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مسکراتے ہوئے سر اٹھایا، تو یا تو آپ نے لوگوں سے کہا، یا لوگوں نے آپ سے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ کو ہنسی کیوں آئی؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ابھی میرے اوپر ایک سورت نازل ہوئی پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پڑھا: «بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم إنا أعطيناك الكوثر» یہاں تک کہ سورت ختم کر لی، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اسے پڑھ چکے تو آپ نے فرمایا: کیا تم جانتے ہو کوثر کیا ہے؟ لوگوں نے کہا: اللہ اور اس کے رسول زیادہ جانتے ہیں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: وہ جنت کی ایک نہر ہے جس کا وعدہ مجھ سے میرے رب نے کیا ہے اور اس پر بڑا خیر ہے، اس پر ایک حوض ہے جس پر قیامت کے دن میری امت ( پینے ) آئے گی، اس کے برتن ستاروں کی تعداد میں ہوں گے ۔
