Hadith 4340 — Livre 39: Battles (Kitab Al-Malahim)

Rapporté par Abu Sa’id al-Khudri رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Si l’un de vous voit quelque chose de blâmable, qu’il le change de sa main s’il le peut. » (Le narrateur Hammad a interrompu le récit, qui a été complété par Ibn al-‘Ala’.) « Mais s’il ne peut pas, alors qu’il le fasse avec sa langue, et s’il ne peut pas non plus, alors qu’il le fasse dans son cœur, et c’est là le degré le plus faible de la foi. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَعَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " مَنْ رَأَى مُنْكَرًا فَاسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُغَيِّرَهُ بِيَدِهِ فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ " . وَقَطَعَ هَنَّادٌ بَقِيَّةَ الْحَدِيثِ - وَفَّاهُ ابْنُ الْعَلاَءِ - " فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ بِلِسَانِهِ فَبِقَلْبِهِ وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الإِيمَانِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu sa’Id al-Khudri said:I head the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If any one you sees something objectionable, he should change it with his hand if he can change it with his hand. (The narrator Hammad broke the rest of the tradition which was completed by Ibn al-‘Ala’.) But if he cannot (do so), he should do it with his tongue, and if he cannot (do so with) his tongue he should do it in his heart, that being the weakest form of faith

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: جو کوئی منکر دیکھے، اور اپنے ہاتھ سے اسے روک سکتا ہو تو چاہیئے کہ اسے اپنے ہاتھ سے روک دے، اگر وہ ہاتھ سے نہ روک سکے تو اپنی زبان سے روکے، اور اگر اپنی زبان سے بھی نہ روک سکے تو اپنے دل میں اسے برا جانے اور یہ ایمان کا سب سے کمزور درجہ ہے ۔
