Rapporté par Buraydah ibn al-Hasib رضي الله عنه : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ en portant une bague-sceau en cuivre jaune. Il lui a dit : « Pourquoi est-ce que je sens chez toi l’odeur des idoles ? » Alors il l’a jetée et est revenu avec une bague-sceau en fer. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Pourquoi portes-tu l’ornement des habitants de l’Enfer ? » Il l’a donc jetée. Il a demandé : « Ô Messager d’Allah, en quelle matière dois-je la faire ? » Il a dit : « Fais-la en argent, mais qu’elle ne pèse pas un mithqal. » Le rapporteur Muhammad n’a pas dit : « ‘Abd Allah ibn Muslim », et al-Hasan n’a pas dit : « al-Sulami al-Marwazi »

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي رِزْمَةَ، - الْمَعْنَى - أَنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ حُبَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ السُّلَمِيِّ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ أَبِي طَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ شَبَهٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ " مَا لِي أَجِدُ مِنْكَ رِيحَ الأَصْنَامِ " . فَطَرَحَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَعَلَيْهِ خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ " مَا لِي أَرَى عَلَيْكَ حِلْيَةَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ " . فَطَرَحَهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَىِّ شَىْءٍ أَتَّخِذُهُ قَالَ " اتَّخِذْهُ مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَلاَ تُتِمَّهُ مِثْقَالاً " . وَلَمْ يَقُلْ مُحَمَّدٌ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ . وَلَمْ يَقُلِ الْحَسَنُ السُّلَمِيِّ الْمَرْوَزِيِّ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib: A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he was wearing a signet-ring of yellow copper. He said to him: How is it that I notice the odour of idols in you? So he threw it away, and came wearing an iron signet ring. He (the Prophet) said: What is it that I see you wearing the adornment of the inhabitants of Hell? So he threw it away. He asked: Messenger of Allah, what material I must use? He said: Make it of silver, but do not weigh it as much as a mithqal, The narrator Muhammad did not say: " 'Abd Allah b. Muslim," and al-Hasan did not say: "al-Sulami al-Marwazi
Traduction en ourdou
بریدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آیا، وہ پتیل کی انگوٹھی پہنے ہوئے تھا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس سے فرمایا: کیا بات ہے، میں تجھ سے بتوں کی بدبو محسوس کر رہا ہوں؟ تو اس نے اپنی انگوٹھی پھینک دی، پھر لوہے کی انگوٹھی پہن کر آیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کیا بات ہے، میں تجھے جہنمیوں کا زیور پہنے ہوئے دیکھتا ہوں؟ تو اس نے پھر اپنی انگوٹھی پھینک دی، اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! پھر کس چیز کی انگوٹھی بنواؤں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: چاندی کی بنواؤ اور اسے ایک مثقال سے کم رکھو ۱؎ ۔
