Rapporté par Abu Talhah al-Ansari رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu le Prophète ﷺ dire : « Les anges n’entrent pas dans une maison où il y a un chien ou une image. » Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani a dit à Sa’id ibn Yasar al-Ansari, le transmetteur de ce récit : « Viens avec moi chez Aishah, la mère des croyants, pour lui demander à ce sujet. » Nous sommes donc allés la voir et nous lui avons dit : « Mère des croyants, Abu Talhah nous a rapporté un tel hadith. L’as-tu entendu du Prophète ﷺ ? » Elle répondit : « Non, mais je vais vous dire ce que j’ai vu de lui. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ est parti en expédition et je l’attendais à la maison. J’ai acheté un tapis que j’ai accroché comme rideau sur une baguette à la porte. À son retour, je l’ai accueilli et j’ai dit : “Que la paix, la miséricorde et les bénédictions d’Allah soient sur toi, Messager d’Allah. Louange à Allah qui t’a accordé la victoire et l’honneur.” Il a regardé la maison, a vu le tapis, et ne m’a pas répondu. J’ai vu sur son visage qu’il n’était pas content. Il s’est alors approché du tapis et l’a arraché. Puis il a dit : “Allah ne nous a pas ordonné de vêtir des pierres et de la terre avec la subsistance qu’Il nous a donnée.” » Elle ajouta : « Je l’ai alors découpé pour en faire deux coussins que j’ai remplis de fibres de palmier, et il ne m’a rien reproché à ce sujet. »

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي صَالِحٍ - عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " لاَ تَدْخُلُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلاَ تِمْثَالٌ " . وَقَالَ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَائِشَةَ نَسْأَلُهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ . فَانْطَلَقْنَا فَقُلْنَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِكَذَا وَكَذَا فَهَلْ سَمِعْتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَذْكُرُ ذَلِكَ قَالَتْ لاَ وَلَكِنْ سَأُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِمَا رَأَيْتُهُ فَعَلَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي بَعْضِ مَغَازِيهِ وَكُنْتُ أَتَحَيَّنُ قُفُولَهُ فَأَخَذْتُ نَمَطًا كَانَ لَنَا فَسَتَرْتُهُ عَلَى الْعَرَضِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ اسْتَقْبَلْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَعَزَّكَ وَأَكْرَمَكَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَرَأَى النَّمَطَ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَىَّ شَيْئًا وَرَأَيْتُ الْكَرَاهِيَةَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَأَتَى النَّمَطَ حَتَّى هَتَكَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنَا فِيمَا رَزَقَنَا أَنْ نَكْسُوَ الْحِجَارَةَ وَاللَّبِنَ " . قَالَتْ فَقَطَعْتُهُ وَجَعَلْتُهُ وِسَادَتَيْنِ وَحَشَوْتُهُمَا لِيفًا فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْ ذَلِكَ عَلَىَّ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Talhat al-Ansari:I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: The angels do not enter a house which contains a dog or a picture. Zaid b. Khalid al-Juhani said to Sa'id b. Yasar al-Ansari, the transmitter of this tradition: Go with me to 'Aishah, Mother of Faithful, so that we ask about it. So we went and said to her: Mother of Faithful, Abu Talhah has transmitted to us a tradition so-and-so. Have you heard the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioning that ? She replied: No but I tell what I saw him doing. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went on an expedition and I was waiting for his return. I got a carpet which I hung as a screen on a stick over the door. When he came I received him and said: Peace be upon you, Messenger of Allah, His mercy and His blessings. Praise to be Allah Who gave you dominance and respect. Then he looked at the house and saw the carpet; and he did not respond to me at all. I found (signs of) disapproval in his face. He then came to the carpet and tore it down. He then said: Allah has not commanded us to clothe stones and clay out of the sustenance He has given us. She said: I then cut it to pieces and made two pillows out of it and stuffed them with palm fibre, and he did not disapprove of it to me

ابوطلحہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: فرشتے ایسے گھر میں داخل نہیں ہوتے جس میں کتا یا مجسمہ ہو ۔ زید بن خالد نے جو اس حدیث کے راوی ہیں سعید بن یسار سے کہا: میرے ساتھ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس چلو ہم ان سے اس بارے میں پوچھیں گے چنانچہ ہم گئے اور جا کر پوچھا: ام المؤمنین! ابوطلحہ نے ہم سے حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے ایسا ایسا فرمایا ہے تو کیا آپ نے بھی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے سنا ہے؟ آپ نے کہا: نہیں، لیکن میں نے جو کچھ آپ کو کرتے دیکھا ہے وہ میں تم سے بیان کرتی ہوں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کسی غزوہ میں نکلے، میں آپ کی واپسی کی منتظر تھی، میں نے ایک پردہ لیا جو میرے پاس تھا اور اسے دروازے کی پڑی لکڑی پر لٹکا دیا، پھر جب آئے تو میں نے آپ کا استقبال کیا اور کہا: سلامتی ہو آپ پر اے اللہ کے رسول! اللہ کی رحمت اور اس کی برکتیں ہوں، شکر ہے اس اللہ کا جس نے آپ کو عزت بخشی اور اپنے فضل و کرم سے نوازا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے گھر پر نظر ڈالی، تو آپ کی نگاہ پردے پر گئی تو آپ نے میرے سلام کا کوئی جواب نہیں دیا، میں نے آپ کے چہرہ پر ناگواری دیکھی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پردے کے پاس آئے اور اسے اتار دیا اور فرمایا: اللہ نے ہمیں یہ حکم نہیں دیا ہے کہ ہم اس کی عطا کی ہوئی چیزوں میں سے پتھر اور اینٹ کو کپڑے پہنائیں پھر میں نے کاٹ کر اس کے دو تکیے بنا لیے، اور ان میں کھجور کی چھال کا بھراؤ کیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے اس کام پر کوئی نکیر نہیں فرمائی۔
