كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a autorisé les Mères des croyants (c’est-à-dire les épouses du Prophète) à laisser traîner leur vêtement d’un empan. Elles lui ont alors demandé d’augmenter, et il leur a accordé un empan supplémentaire. Elles nous envoyaient le vêtement et nous le mesurions pour elles, d’une longueur d’avant-bras

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، أَخْبَرَنِي زَيْدٌ الْعَمِّيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي الذَّيْلِ شِبْرًا ثُمَّ اسْتَزَدْنَهُ فَزَادَهُنَّ شِبْرًا فَكُنَّ يُرْسِلْنَ إِلَيْنَا فَنَذْرَعُ لَهُنَّ ذِرَاعًا .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave licence to the Mothers of the believers (i.e. the wives of the Prophet) to hang down their lower garment a span. Then they asked him to increase it, and he increased one span for them. They would send (the garment) to us and we would measure it one forearm's length for them
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے امہات المؤمنین ( رضی اللہ عنہن ) کو ایک بالشت دامن لٹکانے کی رخصت دی، تو انہوں نے اس سے زیادہ کی خواہش ظاہر کی تو آپ نے انہیں مزید ایک بالشت کی رخصت دے دی چنانچہ امہات المؤمنین ہمارے پاس کپڑے بھیجتیں تو ہم انہیں ایک ہاتھ ناپ دیا کرتے تھے۔
