كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par Abu Burdah رضي الله عنه : Mon père m’a dit : « Mon fils, si tu nous avais vus alors que nous étions avec le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et que la pluie tombait sur nous, tu aurais pensé que notre odeur était celle des moutons. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبِي يَا بُنَىَّ لَوْ رَأَيْتَنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ نَبِيِّنَا صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ أَصَابَتْنَا السَّمَاءُ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ رِيحَنَا رِيحُ الضَّأْنِ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abu Burdah: My father said to me: My son, if you had seen us while we were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the rain had fallen on us, you would have thought that our smell was the smell of the sheep
Traduction en ourdou
جناب ابوبردہ سے روایت ہے کہ میرے والد نے مجھ سے کہا: اے بیٹے! اگر تم ہمیں دیکھتے جب کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ ہوتے تھے اور ہم پر بارش ہو جاتی تو تم سمجھتے کہ ہم سے بھیڑوں کی سی بو آتی ہے۔ امام ابوداؤد ؓ نے کہا: مقصد ہے کہ اون کے لباس کی وجہ سے۔
