Rapporté par Umm Salamah (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها : Shahr ibn Hawshab a dit : J’ai demandé à Umm Salamah : Comment le Messager d’Allah ﷺ récitait-il ce verset : « Car sa conduite est mauvaise (innahu ‘amalun ghayru salih) » ? Elle a répondu : Il le récitait : « Il a mal agi » (innahu ‘amila ghayra salih). Abu Dawud a dit : Ce hadith a été transmis par Harun al-Nahwi et Musa b. Khalaf d’après Thabit, comme l’a rapporté le narrateur ‘Abd al-Aziz

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُخْتَارِ - حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ { إِنَّهُ عَمَلٌ غَيْرُ صَالِحٍ } فَقَالَتْ قَرَأَهَا { إِنَّهُ عَمِلَ غَيْرَ صَالِحٍ } قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَاهُ هَارُونُ النَّحْوِيُّ وَمُوسَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ كَمَا قَالَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin: Shahr ibn Hawshab said: I asked Umm Salamah: How did the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) read this verse: "For his conduct is unrighteous (innahu 'amalun ghayru salih". She replied: He read it: "He acted unrighteously" (innahu 'amila ghayra salih). Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by Harun al-Nahwi and Musa b. Khalaf from Thabit as reported by the narrator 'Abd al-Aziz

شہر بن حوشب کہتے ہیں میں نے ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آیت کریمہ «إنه عمل غير صالح» کیسے پڑھتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ اسے «إنه عمل غير صالح» ( فعل ماضی کے ساتھ ) پڑھتے تھے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: نیز اسے ہارون نحوی اور موسیٰ بن خلف نے ثابت سے ایسے ہی روایت کیا ہے جیسے عبدالعزیز نے کہا ہے۔
