Hadith 3937 — Livre 31: The Book of Manumission of Slaves
كتاب العتق
Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه rapporte que le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Si quelqu’un affranchit une part de son esclave, il doit l’affranchir complètement s’il a de l’argent ; mais s’il n’en a pas, l’esclave devra travailler (pour payer sa liberté), mais il ne doit pas être surchargé. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، - يَعْنِي الْعَطَّارَ - حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شَقِيصًا فِي مَمْلُوكِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ كُلَّهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ وَإِلاَّ اسْتُسْعِيَ الْعَبْدُ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقٍ عَلَيْهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying:If anyone emancipates a share in his slave, he should completely emancipate him if he has money; but if he has none, then slave will be required to work (to pay for his freedom), but he must not be overburdened
Traduction en ourdou
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو اپنے مشترک غلام میں سے اپنا حصہ آزاد کر دے تو اگر اس کے پاس مال ہے تو اس پر لازم ہے کہ وہ اسے مکمل خلاصی دلائے اور اگر اس کے پاس مال نہ ہو تو اس غلام کی واجبی قیمت لگائی جائے گی پھر اور شریکوں کے حصوں کے بقدر اس سے محنت کرائی جائے گی، بغیر اسے مشقت میں ڈالے ۔
