Hadith 3926 — Livre 31: The Book of Manumission of Slaves
كتاب العتق
Rapporté par ‘Amr ibn Shu‘aib, d’après son père, qui le tient de son grand-père : Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Un esclave qui a conclu un contrat pour acheter sa liberté reste esclave tant qu’il reste un dirham à payer du prix convenu. »

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُتْبَةَ، إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْمُكَاتَبُ عَبْدٌ مَا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِرْهَمٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated 'Amr b. Shu'aib: on his father's authority, told that his grandfather reported the Prophet (ﷺ) said: A slave who has entered into an agreement to purchase his freedom is a slave as long as a dirham of the agreed price remains to be paid
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مکاتب ۱؎ اس وقت تک غلام ہے جب تک اس کے بدل کتابت ( آزادی کی قیمت ) میں سے ایک درہم بھی اس کے ذمہ باقی ہے ۔
