كتاب الأطعمة
Rapporté par Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah : J’ai mangé de l’ail et je suis allé à l’endroit où le Prophète ﷺ priait ; une unité de prière avait déjà été accomplie quand je suis arrivé. En entrant dans la mosquée, le Prophète ﷺ a remarqué l’odeur de l’ail. Quand le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a terminé sa prière, il a dit : « Celui qui mange de cette plante ne doit pas s’approcher de nous tant que son odeur n’a pas disparu. » Après la prière, je suis allé voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et j’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, donne-moi ta main. » J’ai alors mis sa main dans la manche de ma chemise, la portant à ma poitrine pour lui montrer que j’avais une ceinture attachée sur mon torse. Il a dit : « Tu as une excuse valable. »

حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلاَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ أَكَلْتُ ثُومًا فَأَتَيْتُ مُصَلَّى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ سُبِقْتُ بِرَكْعَةٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَجَدَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رِيحَ الثُّومِ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَتَهُ قَالَ " مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ فَلاَ يَقْرَبْنَا حَتَّى يَذْهَبَ رِيحُهَا " . أَوْ " رِيحُهُ " . فَلَمَّا قَضَيْتُ الصَّلاَةَ جِئْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ لَتُعْطِيَنِّي يَدَكَ . قَالَ فَأَدْخَلْتُ يَدَهُ فِي كُمِّ قَمِيصِي إِلَى صَدْرِي فَإِذَا أَنَا مَعْصُوبُ الصَّدْرِ قَالَ " إِنَّ لَكَ عُذْرًا " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah: I ate garlic and came to the place where the Prophet (ﷺ) was praying; one rak'ah of prayer had been performed when I joined. When I entered the mosque, the Prophet (ﷺ) noticed the odour of garlic. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) finished his prayer, he said: He who eats from this plant should not come near us until its odour has gone away. When I finished the prayer, I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, do give me your hand. Then I put his hand in the sleeve of my shirt, carrying it to my chest to show that my chest was fastened with a belt. He said: You have a (valid) excuse

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں میں لہسن کھا کر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مسجد آیا میری ایک رکعت چھوٹ گئی تھی، جب میں مسجد میں داخل ہوا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لہسن کی بو محسوس کی، تو جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنی نماز پوری کر چکے تو فرمایا: جو شخص اس درخت ( لہسن ) سے کھائے وہ ہمارے قریب نہ آئے یہاں تک کہ اس کی بو جاتی رہے ۔ راوی کو شک ہے آپ نے «ريحها» کہا یا «ريحه» کہا، تو جب میں نے نماز پوری کر لی تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! قسم اللہ کی آپ اپنا ہاتھ مجھے دیجئیے، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے آپ کا ہاتھ پکڑ کر اپنے کرتے کے آستین میں داخل کیا اور سینہ تک لے گیا، تو میرا سینہ بندھا ہوا نکلا آپ نے فرمایا: بلاشبہ تو معذور ہے ۱؎ ۔
