Rapporté par Awf ibn Malik : Le Prophète ﷺ a rendu un jugement entre deux hommes, et celui contre qui la décision a été prise s’est détourné en disant : « Allah me suffit, et Il est le meilleur garant de mes affaires. » Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « Allah, le Très-Haut, blâme ceux qui manquent d’efforts, mais utilisez votre intelligence, et quand la situation vous dépasse, dites : “Allah me suffit, et Il est le meilleur garant de mes affaires.” »

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنْ سَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَضَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ . فَقَالَ الْمَقْضِيُّ عَلَيْهِ لَمَّا أَدْبَرَ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَلُومُ عَلَى الْعَجْزِ وَلَكِنْ عَلَيْكَ بِالْكَيْسِ فَإِذَا غَلَبَكَ أَمْرٌ فَقُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Awf ibn Malik: The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) gave a decision between two men, and the one against whom the decision was given turned away and said: For me Allah sufficeth, and He is the best dispenser of affairs. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah, Most High, blames for falling short, but apply intelligence, and when the matter gets the better of you, say; For me Allah sufficeth, and He is the best disposer of affairs
Traduction en ourdou
عوف بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دو شخصوں کے درمیان فیصلہ کیا، تو جس کے خلاف فیصلہ دیا گیا واپس ہوتے ہوئے کہنے لگا: مجھے بس اللہ کافی ہے اور وہ بہتر کار ساز ہے، اس پر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ بیوقوفی پر ملامت کرتا ہے لہٰذا زیر کی و دانائی کو لازم پکڑو، پھر جب تم مغلوب ہو جاؤ تو کہو: میرے لیے بس اللہ کافی ہے اور وہ بہترین کار ساز ہے ۔
