كتاب البيوع
Rapporté par Qays ibn Abu Gharazah : À l’époque du Messager d’Allah ﷺ, on nous appelait des courtiers, mais un jour, le Prophète ﷺ est venu vers nous et nous a donné un nom meilleur en disant : « Ô groupe de commerçants, il y a souvent des paroles inutiles et des serments dans les transactions commerciales, alors accompagnez-les de sadaqah (aumône). »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نُسَمَّى السَّمَاسِرَةَ فَمَرَّ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمَّانَا بِاسْمٍ هُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ " يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّ الْبَيْعَ يَحْضُرُهُ اللَّغْوُ وَالْحَلِفُ فَشُوبُوهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Qays ibn AbuGharazah: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we used to be called brokers, but the Prophet (ﷺ) came upon us one day, and called us by a better name than that, saying: O company of merchants, unprofitable speech and swearing takes place in business dealings, so mix it with sadaqah (alms)
Traduction en ourdou
قیس بن ابی غرزہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں سماسرہ ۱؎ کہا جاتا تھا، پھر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس سے گزرے تو ہمیں ایک اچھے نام سے نوازا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اے سوداگروں کی جماعت! بیع میں لایعنی باتیں اور ( جھوٹی ) قسمیں ہو جاتی ہیں تو تم اسے صدقہ سے ملا دیا کرو ۲؎ ۔
