Rapporté par Jabir ibn Abdullah رضي الله عنه : Wahb a dit : « J’ai demandé à Jabir au sujet de la tribu de Thaqif lorsqu’ils ont prêté serment d’allégeance. Il a dit : “Ils ont posé comme condition au Prophète ﷺ qu’il n’y ait ni aumône (zakat) ni jihad (combat dans la voie d’Allah) pour eux.” Il a ensuite entendu le Prophète ﷺ dire : “Plus tard, ils donneront l’aumône (zakat) et combattront dans la voie d’Allah lorsqu’ils embrasseront l’islam.” »

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ - حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَقِيلِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ - عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرًا عَنْ شَأْنِ، ثَقِيفٍ إِذْ بَايَعَتْ قَالَ اشْتَرَطَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ لاَ صَدَقَةَ عَلَيْهَا وَلاَ جِهَادَ وَأَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ " سَيَتَصَدَّقُونَ وَيُجَاهِدُونَ إِذَا أَسْلَمُوا " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: Wahb said: I asked Jabir about the condition of Thaqif when they took the oath of allegiance. He said: They stipulated to the Prophet (ﷺ) that there would be no sadaqah (i.e. zakat) on them nor Jihad (striving in the way of Allah). He then heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say: Later on they will give sadaqah (zakat) and will strive in the way of Allah when they embrace Islam

وہب کہتے ہیں میں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے بنو ثقیف کی بیعت کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ ثقیف نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے شرط رکھی کہ نہ وہ زکاۃ دیں گے اور نہ وہ جہاد میں حصہ لیں گے۔ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: اس کے بعد انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: جب وہ مسلمان ہو جائیں گے تو وہ زکاۃ بھی دیں گے اور جہاد بھی کریں گے ۱؎ ۔
