Hadith 832 — Livre 2: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)

Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Abu Awfa : Un homme est venu voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Je n’arrive à rien retenir du Coran, alors enseigne-moi quelque chose qui me suffise. » Il a répondu : « Dis : “Gloire à Allah, louange à Allah, il n’y a de dieu qu’Allah, et Allah est le plus grand, et il n’y a de force ni de puissance qu’en Allah.” » L’homme a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, ceci est pour Allah, mais qu’en est-il pour moi ? » Il a répondu : « Dis : “Ô Allah, fais-moi miséricorde, accorde-moi ma subsistance, garde-moi en bonne santé et guide-moi.” » Quand il s’est levé, il a fait un geste de la main (pour montrer qu’il avait beaucoup gagné). Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Il a rempli sa main de bonnes actions. »

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ الدَّالاَنِيِّ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ السَّكْسَكِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنِّي لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ آخُذَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْئًا فَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يُجْزِئُنِي مِنْهُ . قَالَ " قُلْ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ " . قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَذَا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَمَا لِي قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَارْزُقْنِي وَعَافِنِي وَاهْدِنِي " . فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ مَلأَ يَدَهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn AbuAwfa: A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: I cannot memorise anything from the Qur'an: so teach me something which is sufficient for me. He said: Say Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is most great, and there is no might and no strength but in Allah. :He said: Messenger of Allah, this is for Allah, but what is for me? He said: Say: O Allah have mercy on me, and sustain me, and keep me well, and guide me. When he stood up, he made a sign with his hand (indicating that he had earned a lot). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He filed up his hand with virtues
Traduction en ourdou
سیدنا عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی کریم ﷺ کی خدمت میں آیا اور کہنے لگا کہ میں قرآن سے کچھ یاد نہیں کر سکتا، مجھے کچھ سکھا دیجئیے جو میرے لیے (قراءت قرآن سے) کفایت کرے۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم «سبحان الله والحمد لله ولا إله إلا الله والله أكبر ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله» پڑھا کرو۔“ اللہ پاک ہے، اسی کی تعریف ہے، اس کے علاوہ اور کوئی معبود نہیں، اور اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔ برائیوں سے بچنا اور نیکی کی توفیق ملنا، اللہ کے سوا کسی سے ممکن نہیں۔ وہ عالی ہے عظمت والا ہے۔“ کہنے لگا: اے اللہ کے رسول! یہ تو اللہ کے لیے ہوا، میرے لیے کیا ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کہا کرو «اللهم ارحَمْنِي وارزُقْنِي وعَافِني واهدِنِي» ”اے اللہ! مجھ پر رحم فرما۔ مجھے رزق دے، راحت و عافیت سے نواز اور ہدایت سے سرفراز فرما۔“ چنانچہ جب وہ کھڑا ہوا تو اپنے ہاتھوں سے ایسے اشارہ کیا ۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”اس نے اپنے ہاتھ خیر سے بھر لیے ہیں۔‘‘
