كتاب الجهاد
Abu Talhah رضي الله عنه a dit : « Quand le Messager d’Allah ﷺ l’emportait sur un peuple, il restait trois nuits sur le terrain. » Ibn Al Muthanna a dit : « Quand il l’emportait sur un peuple, il aimait rester trois nuits sur le terrain. » Abu Dawud a dit : Yahya bin Sa’id contestait ce récit car il ne venait pas de ses premiers récits, sa mémoire ayant décliné à quarante-cinq ans. Il a rapporté ce récit à la fin de sa vie. Abu Dawud a dit : On dit que Waki’ a reçu ce récit de lui quand sa mémoire était déjà altérée

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا غَلَبَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ أَقَامَ بِالْعَرْصَةِ ثَلاَثًا . قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى إِذَا غَلَبَ قَوْمًا أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلاَثًا . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ كَانَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ يَطْعَنُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ لأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْ قَدِيمِ حَدِيثِ سَعِيدٍ لأَنَّهُ تَغَيَّرَ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلاَّ بِأَخَرَةٍ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ يُقَالُ إِنَّ وَكِيعًا حَمَلَ عَنْهُ فِي تَغَيُّرِهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Talhah said “When the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) prevailed on any people, he stayed three nights in the field. Ibn Al Muthanna said “When he prevailed over people, he liked to stay three nights in the field.” Abu Dawud said “Yahya bin Sa’id used to object to this tradition for this is not from his early traditions because his memory was spoiled at the age of forty five. He narrated this tradition in the last days of his age.” Abu Dawud said “ It is said that Waki ‘ recived this tradition from him when his memory was spoiled.”

ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب کسی قوم پر غالب آتے تو میدان جنگ میں تین رات قیام کرتے۔ ابن مثنیٰ کا بیان ہے: جب کسی قوم پر غالب آتے تو میدان جنگ میں جو ان کی سر زمین میں پڑتا تین رات قیام کرنا پسند فرماتے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: کہ یحییٰ بن سعید اس حدیث میں طعن کرتے تھے کیونکہ یہ سعید ( سعید ابن ابی عروبہ ) کی پہلے کی حدیثوں میں سے نہیں ہے، اس لیے کہ ۱۴۵ ہجری میں ان کے حافظہ میں تغیر پیدا ہو گیا تھا، اور یہ حدیث بھی آخری عمر کی ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: کہا جاتا ہے کہ وکیع نے ان سے ان کے زمانہ تغیر میں ہی حدیث حاصل کی ہے ۱؎۔
