Hadith 2686 — Livre 15: Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه : Ibrahim a dit : Ad-Dahhak ibn Qays voulait nommer Masruq gouverneur. Alors Umarah ibn Uqbah lui dit : « Vas-tu nommer un homme issu des restes des meurtriers de Uthman ? » Masruq lui répondit : « Ibn Mas'ud nous a rapporté, et il était digne de confiance dans la transmission, que lorsque le Prophète ﷺ voulait tuer ton père, il lui demanda : “Qui prendra soin de mes enfants ?” Il répondit : “Le Feu.” Moi aussi, je souhaite pour toi ce que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a souhaité pour toi. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الرَّقِّيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَرَادَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ أَنْ يَسْتَعْمِلَ، مَسْرُوقًا فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ أَتَسْتَعْمِلُ رَجُلاً مِنْ بَقَايَا قَتَلَةِ عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَسْرُوقٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ - وَكَانَ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا مَوْثُوقَ الْحَدِيثِ - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمَّا أَرَادَ قَتْلَ أَبِيكَ قَالَ مَنْ لِلصِّبْيَةِ قَالَ " النَّارُ " . فَقَدْ رَضِيتُ لَكَ مَا رَضِيَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: Ibrahim said: Ad-Dahhak ibn Qays intended to appoint Masruq as governor. Thereupon Umarah ibn Uqbah said to him: Are you appointing a man from the remnants of the murderers of Uthman? Masruq said to him: Ibn Mas'ud narrated to us, and he was trustworthy in respect of traditions, that when the Prophet (ﷺ) intended to kill your father, he said: Who will look after my children? He replied: Fire. I also like for you what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) liked for you
Traduction en ourdou
ابراہیم کہتے ہیں کہ ضحاک بن قیس نے مسروق کو عامل بنانا چاہا تو عمارہ بن عقبہ نے ان سے کہا: کیا آپ عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے قاتلوں میں سے ایک شخص کو عامل بنا رہے ہیں؟ تو مسروق نے ان سے کہا: مجھ سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے حدیث بیان کی اور وہ ہم میں حدیث ( بیان کرنے ) میں قابل اعتماد تھے کہ جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تیرے باپ ( عقبہ ۱؎ ) کے قتل کا ارادہ کیا تو وہ کہنے لگا: میرے لڑکوں کی خبرگیری کون کرے گا؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آگ ۲؎ پس میں تیرے لیے اسی چیز سے راضی ہوں جس چیز سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم راضی ہوئے ۔
