Hadith 2678 — Livre 15: Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Jundub ibn Makith : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ envoya Abdullah ibn Ghalib al-Laythi avec un détachement, et j’étais avec eux. Il leur ordonna d’encercler Banu al-Mulawwih de tous côtés à al-Kadid. Nous sommes partis et, en arrivant à al-Kadid, nous avons rencontré al-Harith ibn al-Barsa al-Laythi et l’avons capturé. Il dit : « Je suis venu avec l’intention d’embrasser l’islam, et je suis sorti pour aller voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. » Nous lui avons dit : « Si tu es musulman, il n’y a pas de mal à ce que nous te gardions enchaîné un jour et une nuit ; et si tu ne l’es pas, nous t’attacherons avec des chaînes. » Alors, nous l’avons attaché avec des chaînes

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ، قَالَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ غَالِبٍ اللَّيْثِيَّ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ وَكُنْتُ فِيهِمْ وَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشُنُّوا الْغَارَةَ عَلَى بَنِي الْمُلَوِّحِ بِالْكَدِيدِ فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى إِذَا كُنَّا بِالْكَدِيدِ لَقِينَا الْحَارِثَ بْنَ الْبَرْصَاءِ اللَّيْثِيَّ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا جِئْتُ أُرِيدُ الإِسْلاَمَ وَإِنَّمَا خَرَجْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا إِنْ تَكُنْ مُسْلِمًا لَمْ يَضُرَّكَ رِبَاطُنَا يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً وَإِنْ تَكُنْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ نَسْتَوْثِقْ مِنْكَ فَشَدَدْنَاهُ وِثَاقًا .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Jundub ibn Makith: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Abdullah ibn Ghalib al-Laythi along with a detachment and I was also with them. He ordered them to attach Banu al-Mulawwih from all sides at al-Kadid. So we went out and when we reached al-Kadid we met al-Harith ibn al-Barsa al-Laythi, and seized him. He said: I came with the intention of embracing Islam, and I came out to go to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). We said: If you are a Muslim, there is no harm if we keep you in chains for a day and night; and if you are not, we shall tie you with chains. So we tied him with chains

جندب بن مکیث رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عبداللہ بن غالب لیثی رضی اللہ عنہ کو ایک سریہ میں بھیجا، میں بھی انہیں میں تھا، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کو حکم دیا کہ بنو الملوح پر کدید میں کئی طرف سے حملہ کریں، چنانچہ ہم لوگ نکلے جب کدید میں پہنچے تو ہم حارث بن برصاء لیثی سے ملے، ہم نے اسے پکڑ لیا، وہ کہنے لگا: میں تو مسلمان ہونے کے لیے آیا ہوں، میں تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہی کی طرف جا رہا تھا، ہم نے کہا: اگر تو مسلمان ہے تو ایک دن ایک رات کا ہمارا باندھنا تمہیں نقصان نہیں پہنچائے گا اور اگر تم مسلمان نہیں ہو تو ہم تمہیں مضبوطی سے باندھیں گے، پھر ہم نے اس کو مضبوطی سے باندھ دیا۔
