Hadith 2647 — Livre 15: Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Umar رضي الله عنه : Ibn Umar a été envoyé avec un détachement du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Les gens ont fui le combat. Il a dit : J’étais parmi ceux qui ont fui. Quand nous nous sommes arrêtés, nous nous sommes demandé : Que devons-nous faire ? Nous avons fui le champ de bataille et méritons la colère d’Allah. Puis nous avons pensé : Allons à Médine, restons-y, et entrons sans que personne ne nous voie. Nous sommes donc entrés (à Médine) et avons réfléchi : Si nous nous présentons devant le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et qu’il y a une possibilité de repentir, nous resterons ; sinon, nous partirons. Nous nous sommes donc assis en attendant le Messager d’Allah ﷺ avant la prière de l’aube. Lorsqu’il est sorti, nous nous sommes levés vers lui et avons dit : « Nous sommes ceux qui ont fui. » Il s’est tourné vers nous et a dit : « Non, vous êtes ceux qui reviennent combattre après avoir fui. » Nous nous sommes alors approchés et avons embrassé sa main, et il a dit : « Je suis le cœur du groupe des musulmans. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، كَانَ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ مِنْ سَرَايَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فَحَاصَ النَّاسُ حَيْصَةً فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ حَاصَ - قَالَ - فَلَمَّا بَرَزْنَا قُلْنَا كَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ وَقَدْ فَرَرْنَا مِنَ الزَّحْفِ وَبُؤْنَا بِالْغَضَبِ فَقُلْنَا نَدْخُلُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَنَتَثَبَّتُ فِيهَا وَنَذْهَبُ وَلاَ يَرَانَا أَحَدٌ - قَالَ - فَدَخَلْنَا فَقُلْنَا لَوْ عَرَضْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَإِنْ كَانَتْ لَنَا تَوْبَةٌ أَقَمْنَا وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ ذَهَبْنَا - قَالَ - فَجَلَسْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَبْلَ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ قُمْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْنَا نَحْنُ الْفَرَّارُونَ فَأَقْبَلَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ " لاَ بَلْ أَنْتُمُ الْعَكَّارُونَ " . قَالَ فَدَنَوْنَا فَقَبَّلْنَا يَدَهُ فَقَالَ " أَنَا فِئَةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Ibn Umar was sent with a detachment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The people wheeled round in flight. He said: I was one of those who wheeled round in flight. When we stopped, we said (i.e. thought): How should we do? We have run away from the battlefield and deserve Allah's wrath. Then we said (thought): Let us enter Medina, stay there, and go there while no one sees us. So we entered (Medina) and thought: If we present ourselves before the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and if there is a change of repentance for us, we shall stay; if there is something else, we shall go away. So we sat down (waiting) for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) before the dawn prayer. When he came out, we stood up to him and said: We are the ones who have fled. He turned to us and said: No, you are the ones who return to fight after wheeling away. We then approached and kissed his hand, and he said; I am the main body of the Muslims
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کا بیان ہے کہ وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سرایا میں سے کسی سریہ میں تھے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ لوگ تیزی کے ساتھ بھاگے، بھاگنے والوں میں میں بھی تھا، جب ہم رکے تو ہم نے آپس میں مشورہ کیا کہ اب کیا کریں؟ ہم کافروں کے مقابلہ سے بھاگ کھڑے ہوئے اور اللہ کے غضب کے مستحق قرار پائے، پھر ہم نے کہا: چلو ہم مدینہ چلیں اور وہاں ٹھہرے رہیں، ( پھر جب دوسری بار جہاد ہو ) تو چل نکلیں اور ہم کو کوئی دیکھنے نہ پائے، خیر ہم مدینہ گئے، وہاں ہم نے اپنے دل میں کہا: کاش! ہم اپنے آپ کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے پیش کرتے تو زیادہ بہتر ہوتا، اگر ہماری توبہ قبول ہوئی تو ہم ٹھہرے رہیں گے ورنہ ہم چلے جائیں گے، ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے انتظار میں فجر سے پہلے بیٹھ گئے، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نکلے تو ہم کھڑے ہوئے اور آپ کے پاس جا کر ہم نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم بھاگے ہوئے لوگ ہیں، آپ ہماری طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: نہیں، بلکہ تم لوگ «عکارون» ہو ( یعنی دوبارہ لڑائی میں واپس لوٹنے والے ہو ) ۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں: ( خوش ہو کر ) ہم آپ کے نزدیک گئے اور آپ کا ہاتھ چوما تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں مسلمانوں کی پناہ گاہ ہوں ، ( یعنی ان کا ملجا و ماویٰ ہوں میرے سوا وہ اور کہاں جائیں گے؟ ) ۔
