Rapporté par Usamah ibn Zaid رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ nous a envoyés en expédition vers Al Huruqat. Ils ont appris notre venue et se sont enfuis. Mais nous avons trouvé un homme ; quand nous l’avons attaqué, il a dit : « Il n’y a de dieu qu’Allah », mais nous l’avons frappé jusqu’à le tuer. Quand j’en ai parlé au Prophète ﷺ, il a dit : « Qui te protégera de “Il n’y a de dieu qu’Allah” au Jour du Jugement ? » J’ai dit : « Messager d’Allah ﷺ, il l’a dit par peur de l’arme. » Il a dit : « As-tu ouvert son cœur pour savoir s’il l’a vraiment dit pour cela ou non ? Qui te défendra contre “Il n’y a de dieu qu’Allah” ? » Il a continué à répéter cela jusqu’à ce que je souhaite être devenu musulman ce jour-là

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ الْمَعْنَى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَرِيَّةً إِلَى الْحُرَقَاتِ فَنَذِرُوا بِنَا فَهَرَبُوا فَأَدْرَكْنَا رَجُلاً فَلَمَّا غَشَيْنَاهُ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَضَرَبْنَاهُ حَتَّى قَتَلْنَاهُ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " مَنْ لَكَ بِلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّمَا قَالَهَا مَخَافَةَ السِّلاَحِ . قَالَ " أَفَلاَ شَقَقْتَ عَنْ قَلْبِهِ حَتَّى تَعْلَمَ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ قَالَهَا أَمْ لاَ مَنْ لَكَ بِلاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . فَمَا زَالَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أُسْلِمْ إِلاَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Usamah bin Zaid said “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent us with a detachment to Al Huruqat. They learnt about us and fled away. But we found a man, when we attacked him he uttered “There is no god but Allaah, still we struck him till we killed him.” When I mentioned it to the Prophet (ﷺ) he said “Who will save you from “There is no god but Allaah” on the Day of Judgment? I said “Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), he uttered it for the fear of the weapon.” He said “Did you tear his heart so that you learnt whether he actually uttered it for this or not. Who will support you against “There is no god but Allaah”? He kept on repeating this till I wished I would have embraced Islam on that day
Traduction en ourdou
اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں حرقات ۱؎ کی طرف ایک سریہ میں بھیجا، تو ان کافروں کو ہمارے آنے کا علم ہو گیا، چنانچہ وہ سب بھاگ کھڑے ہوئے، لیکن ہم نے ایک آدمی کو پکڑ لیا، جب ہم نے اسے گھیرے میں لے لیا تو«لا إله إلا الله» کہنے لگا ( اس کے باوجود ) ہم نے اسے مارا یہاں تک کہ اسے قتل کر دیا، پھر میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کا ذکر کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کے دن «لا إله إلا الله» کے سامنے تیری مدد کون کرے گا؟ میں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! اس نے یہ بات تلوار کے ڈر سے کہی تھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم نے اس کا دل پھاڑ کر دیکھ کیوں نہیں لیا کہ ۲؎ اس نے کلمہ تلوار کے ڈر سے پڑھا ہے یا ( تلوار کے ڈر سے ) نہیں ( بلکہ اسلام کے لیے ) ؟ قیامت کے دن «لا إله إلا الله»کے سامنے تیری مدد کون کرے گا؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم برابر یہی بات فرماتے رہے، یہاں تک کہ میں نے سوچا کاش کہ میں آج ہی اسلام لایا ہوتا۔
