كتاب الجهاد
Anas bin Malik a dit : « J’ai amené mon frère nouveau-né au Prophète ﷺ pour qu’il mâche quelque chose et le frotte sur son palais, et je l’ai trouvé dans un enclos à moutons, en train de marquer les moutons, je pense, sur leurs oreilles. »

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِأَخٍ لِي حِينَ وُلِدَ لِيُحَنِّكَهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ فِي مِرْبَدٍ يَسِمُ غَنَمًا - أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ - فِي آذَانِهَا .
Traduction anglaise
Anas bin Malik said “I brought my brother when he was born to Prophet(ﷺ) to chew something for him and rub his palate with it and found him in a sheep pen branding the sheep, I think, on their ears.”

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں اپنے بھائی کی پیدائش پر اس کو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس لے کر آیا تاکہ آپ اس کی تحنیک ( گھٹی ) ۱؎ فرما دیں، تو دیکھا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جانوروں کے ایک باڑہ میں بکریوں کو نشان ( داغ ) لگا رہے تھے۔ ہشام کہتے ہیں: میرا خیال ہے کہ انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ان کے کانوں پر داغ لگا رہے تھے۔
