Hadith 2517 — Livre 15: Jihad (Kitab Al-Jihad)
كتاب الجهاد
Abu Musa رضي الله عنه a dit : « Un bédouin est venu voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ et a dit : “Un homme combat pour la réputation, un autre pour être loué, un autre pour le butin, et un autre pour être vu. Lequel est dans le chemin d’Allah ?” Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a répondu : “Celui qui combat pour que la parole d’Allah soit la plus haute est dans le chemin d’Allah.” »

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، : أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا، جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ : إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُقَاتِلُ لِلذِّكْرِ، وَيُقَاتِلُ لِيُحْمَدَ، وَيُقَاتِلُ لِيَغْنَمَ، وَيُقَاتِلُ لِيُرَى مَكَانُهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " مَنْ قَاتَلَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ كَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ هِيَ أَعْلَى فَهُوَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Musa said “A beduoin came to the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) and said “One man fights for reputation, one fights for being praised, one fights for booty and one for his place to be seen. (Which of them is in Allaah’s path?)”. The Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) replied “The one who fights that Allaah’s word may have pre-eminence is in Allaah’s path.”
Traduction en ourdou
ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک دیہاتی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا اور اس نے عرض کیا: کوئی شہرت کے لیے جہاد کرتا ہے کوئی جہاد کرتا ہے تاکہ اس کی تعریف کی جائے، کوئی اس لیے جہاد کرتا ہے تاکہ مال غنیمت پائے اور کوئی اس لیے جہاد کرتا ہے تاکہ اس مرتبہ کا اظہار ہو سکے، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے صرف اس لیے جہاد کیا تاکہ اللہ کا کلمہ سربلند رہے تو وہی اصل مجاہد ہے ۔
