Rapporté par Umm al-Fadl, fille d’al-Harith : Le jour de ‘Arafah, des gens près d’elle discutaient pour savoir si le Messager d’Allah ﷺ jeûnait ou non. Certains disaient qu’il jeûnait, d’autres disaient qu’il ne jeûnait pas. Alors, je lui ai envoyé une tasse de lait pendant qu’il était à l’arrêt à ‘Arafah sur son chameau, et il l’a bue

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، تَمَارَوْا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ هُوَ صَائِمٌ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ . فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَ .
Traduction anglaise
Umm al-Fadl, daughter of al-Harith, said:On the day of 'Arafah some people near her argued whether the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was fasting, some saying that he was, and others saying that he was not. I, therefore, sent him a cup of milk while he was observing the halt at 'Arafah on his camel, and he drank it
Traduction en ourdou
ام الفضل بنت حارث رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ان کے پاس لوگ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے یوم عرفہ ( نویں ذی الحجہ ) کے روزے سے متعلق جھگڑنے لگے، کچھ لوگ کہہ رہے تھے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم روزے سے ہیں اور کچھ کہہ رہے تھے کہ روزے سے نہیں ہیں چنانچہ میں نے دودھ کا ایک پیالہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں بھیجا اس وقت آپ عرفہ میں اپنے اونٹ پر وقوف کئے ہوئے تھے تو آپ نے اسے نوش فرما لیا۔
