Hadith 2329 — Livre 14: Fasting (Kitab Al-Siyam)
كتاب الصوم
Rapporté par Mu‘awiyah رضي الله عنه : AbulAzhar al-Mughirah ibn Farwah a dit : Mu‘awiyah s’est adressé aux gens à Dayr Mustahill, à la porte de Hims. Il a dit : « Ô gens, nous avons vu la lune tel jour. Nous allons jeûner en avance. Celui qui veut le faire peut le faire. » Malik ibn Hubayrah as-Saba‘i s’est levé et a demandé : « Mu‘awiyah, as-tu entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire quelque chose à ce sujet, ou est-ce ton avis personnel ? » Il répondit : « J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : “Jeûnez le mois au début et à la fin.” »

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، مِنْ كِتَابِهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَزْهَرِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ فَرْوَةَ، قَالَ قَامَ مُعَاوِيَةُ فِي النَّاسِ بِدَيْرِ مِسْحَلٍ الَّذِي عَلَى بَابِ حِمْصَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا قَدْ رَأَيْنَا الْهِلاَلَ يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَأَنَا مُتَقَدِّمٌ بِالصِّيَامِ فَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَفْعَلَهُ فَلْيَفْعَلْهُ . قَالَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ مَالِكُ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ السَّبَئِيُّ فَقَالَ يَا مُعَاوِيَةُ أَشَىْءٌ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَمْ شَىْءٌ مِنْ رَأْيِكَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " صُومُوا الشَّهْرَ وَسِرَّهُ " .

Narrated Mu'awiyah: AbulAzhar al-Mughirah ibn Farwah said: Mu'awiyah stood among the people at Dayr Mustahill lying at the gate of Hims. He said: O people, we sighted the moon on such-and-such day. We shall fast in advance. Anyone who likes to do so may do it. Malik ibn Hubayrah as-Saba'i stood up and asked: Mu'awiyah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say something (about this matter), or is this something on the basis of your opinion? He replied: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: Fast the month (in the beginning) and in the last

ابوازہر مغیرہ بن فروہ کہتے ہیں کہ معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے دیر مسحل پر ( جو کہ حمص کے دروازے پر واقع ہے ) ، کھڑے ہو کر لوگوں سے کہا: لوگو! ہم نے چاند فلاں فلاں دن دیکھ لیا ہے اور میں سب سے پہلے روزہ رکھ رہا ہوں، جو شخص روزہ رکھنا چاہے رکھ لے، مالک بن ہبیرہ سبئی نے کھڑے ہو کر ان سے کہا: معاویہ! یہ بات آپ نے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سن کر کہی ہے، یا آپ کی اپنی رائے ہے؟ جواب دیا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: رمضان کے مہینے کے روزے رکھو اور آخر شعبان کے ۔
