Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : Par Allah, le Messager d’Allah ﷺ n’a fait accomplir la ‘Umrah à Aïcha pendant Dhul-Hijjah que pour mettre fin à la coutume des idolâtres (dans l’Arabie d’avant l’Islam), car ce clan de Quraysh et ceux qui les suivaient disaient : « Quand la fourrure du chameau devient épaisse et que les blessures sur le dos des chameaux sont guéries et que le mois de Safar commence, la ‘Umrah devient permise pour celui qui la fait. » Ils considéraient la ‘Umrah comme interdite jusqu’à ce que les mois de Dhul-Hijjah et al-Muharram soient passés

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَعْمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَائِشَةَ فِي ذِي الْحِجَّةِ إِلاَّ لِيَقْطَعَ بِذَلِكَ أَمْرَ أَهْلِ الشِّرْكِ فَإِنَّ هَذَا الْحَىَّ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ وَمَنْ دَانَ دِينَهُمْ كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ إِذَا عَفَا الْوَبَرْ وَبَرَأَ الدَّبَرْ وَدَخَلَ صَفَرْ فَقَدْ حَلَّتِ الْعُمْرَةُ لِمَنِ اعْتَمَرْ . فَكَانُوا يُحَرِّمُونَ الْعُمْرَةَ حَتَّى يَنْسَلِخَ ذُو الْحِجَّةِ وَالْمُحَرَّمُ .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: By Allah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not make Aisha perform umrah during Dhul-Hijjah but to discontinue the practice of the idolaters (in Arabia before Islam), for this clan of Quraysh and those who followed them used to say: When the fur of the camel abounds, and the wounds on the back of the camels are recovered and the month of Safar begins, umrah becomes lawful for one who performs umrah. They considered performing umrah unlawful till the months of Dhul-Hijjah and al-Muharram passed away

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ اللہ کی قسم! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو ذی الحجہ میں عمرہ صرف اس لیے کرایا کہ مشرکین کا خیال ختم ہو جائے اس لیے کہ قریش کے لوگ نیز وہ لوگ جو ان کے دین پر چلتے تھے، کہتے تھے: جب اونٹ کے بال بڑھ جائیں اور پیٹھ کا زخم ٹھیک ہو جائے اور صفر کا مہینہ آ جائے تو عمرہ کرنے والے کا عمرہ درست ہو گیا، چنانچہ وہ ذی الحجہ اور محرم ( اشہر حرم ) کے ختم ہونے تک عمرہ کرنا حرام سمجھتے تھے۔
