Rapporté par Nubaih ibn Wahb, frère des Banu Abd Al Dar رضي الله عنه : ‘Umar ibn Ubaid Allah a envoyé quelqu’un auprès d’Aban ibn ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan pour l’inviter à une cérémonie de mariage. Aban était alors chef des pèlerins, et tous deux étaient en état de sacralisation (ihram). Il a dit : « Je veux donner la fille de Shaibah ibn Jubair en mariage à Talhah ibn Umar. J’aimerais que tu sois présent. » Aban a refusé et a dit : « J’ai entendu mon père ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan rapporter du Messager d’Allah ﷺ : “Un pèlerin ne doit ni se marier ni marier quelqu’un en état de sacralisation (ihram).” »

حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، أَخِي بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، أَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ يَسْأَلُهُ وَأَبَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَمِيرُ الْحَاجِّ وَهُمَا مُحْرِمَانِ إِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُنْكِحَ طَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُمَرَ ابْنَةَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَحْضُرَ ذَلِكَ . فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ أَبَانُ وَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلاَ يُنْكَحُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Nubaih bin Wahb brother of Banu Abd Al Dar said ‘Umar bin Ubaid Allah sent someone to Aban bin Uthman bin Affan asking him (to participate in the marriage ceremony). Aban in those days was the chief of the pilgrims and both were in the sacred state (wearing ihram). I want to give the daughter of Shaibah bin Jubair to Talhah bin Umar in marriage. I wish that you may attend it. Aban refused and said I heard my father ‘Uthman bin Affan narrating a tradition from the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) as saying A pilgrim may not marry and give someone in marriage in the sacred state(while wearing ihram)

نبیہ بن وہب جو بنی عبدالدار کے فرد ہیں سے روایت ہے کہ عمر بن عبیداللہ نے انہیں ابان بن عثمان بن عفان کے پاس بھیجا، ابان اس وقت امیر الحج تھے، وہ دونوں محرم تھے، وہ ان سے پوچھ رہے تھے کہ میں نے ارادہ کیا ہے کہ میں طلحہ بن عمر کا شیبہ بن جبیر کی بیٹی سے نکاح کر دوں، میں چاہتا ہوں کہ تم بھی اس میں شریک رہو، ابان نے اس پر انکار کیا اور کہا کہ میں نے اپنے والد عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ کو کہتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے: محرم نہ خود نکاح کرے اور نہ کسی دوسرے کا نکاح کرائے ۔
