Rapporté par Abdullah ibn Abbas رضي الله عنه : L’une des épouses du Prophète ﷺ a pris un bain dans une grande bassine. Le Prophète ﷺ voulut faire ses ablutions ou prendre de cette eau restante. Elle lui dit : « Ô Prophète d’Allah, j’étais en état d’impureté majeure. » Le Prophète répondit : « L’eau n’est pas rendue impure. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ اغْتَسَلَ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي جَفْنَةٍ فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا - أَوْ يَغْتَسِلَ - فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لاَ يَجْنُبُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: One of the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) took a bath from a large bowl. The Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to perform ablution or take from the water left over. She said to him: O Prophet of Allah, verily I was sexually defiled. The Prophet said: Water not defiled
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی ازواج مطہرات میں سے کسی نے ایک لگن سے ( چلو سے پانی لے لے کر ) غسل جنابت کیا، اتنے میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس برتن میں بچے ہوئے پانی سے وضو یا غسل کرنے کے لیے تشریف لائے تو ام المؤمنین نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! میں ناپاک تھی ( اور یہ غسل جنابت کا بچا ہوا پانی ہے ) ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پانی ناپاک نہیں ہوتا ۱؎۔
