Hadith 36 — Livre 1: Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah)
كتاب الطهارة
Rapporté par Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit : Shayban al-Qatbani a rapporté que Maslamah ibn Mukhallad a nommé Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit gouverneur du Bas-Egypte. Il a ajouté : Nous avons voyagé avec lui de Kum Sharik à Alqamah ou d’Alqamah à Kum Sharik (le rapporteur hésite). Ruwayfi' a dit : À l’époque du Prophète ﷺ, l’un de nous empruntait un chameau à un autre à condition de partager le butin, la moitié pour l’un, l’autre moitié pour l’autre. Parfois, l’un recevait la pointe d’une flèche et une plume, l’autre la tige de la flèche comme part du butin. Il a ensuite rapporté : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Ruwayfi', tu vivras peut-être longtemps après moi, alors dis aux gens que si quelqu’un attache sa barbe ou porte un fil autour du cou pour se protéger du mauvais œil, ou se nettoie avec des excréments d’animaux ou des os, Muhammad n’a rien à voir avec lui. »

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ فَضَالَةَ الْمِصْرِيَّ - عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْقِتْبَانِيِّ، أَنَّ شُيَيْمَ بْنَ بَيْتَانَ، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ شَيْبَانَ الْقِتْبَانِيِّ، قَالَ إِنَّ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنَ مُخَلَّدٍ اسْتَعْمَلَ رُوَيْفِعَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، عَلَى أَسْفَلِ الأَرْضِ . قَالَ شَيْبَانُ فَسِرْنَا مَعَهُ مِنْ كُومِ شَرِيكٍ إِلَى عَلْقَمَاءَ أَوْ مِنْ عَلْقَمَاءَ إِلَى كُومِ شَرِيكٍ - يُرِيدُ عَلْقَامَ - فَقَالَ رُوَيْفِعٌ إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُنَا فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيَأْخُذُ نِضْوَ أَخِيهِ عَلَى أَنَّ لَهُ النِّصْفَ مِمَّا يَغْنَمُ وَلَنَا النِّصْفُ وَإِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُنَا لَيَطِيرُ لَهُ النَّصْلُ وَالرِّيشُ وَلِلآخَرِ الْقَدَحُ . ثُمَّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا رُوَيْفِعُ لَعَلَّ الْحَيَاةَ سَتَطُولُ بِكَ بَعْدِي فَأَخْبِرِ النَّاسَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَقَدَ لِحْيَتَهُ أَوْ تَقَلَّدَ وَتَرًا أَوِ اسْتَنْجَى بِرَجِيعِ دَابَّةٍ أَوْ عَظْمٍ فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit: Shayban al-Qatbani reported that Maslamah ibn Mukhallad made Ruwayfi' ibn Thabit the governor of the lower parts (of Egypt). He added: We travelled with him from Kum Sharik to Alqamah or from Alqamah to Kum Sharik (the narrator doubts) for Alqam. Ruwayfi' said: Any one of us would borrow a camel during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) from the other, on condition that he would give him half the booty, and the other half he would retain himself. Further, one of us received an arrowhead and a feather, and the other an arrow-shaft as a share from the booty. He then reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: You may live for a long time after I am gone, Ruwayfi', so, tell people that if anyone ties his beard or wears round his neck a string to ward off the evil eye, or cleanses himself with animal dung or bone, Muhammad has nothing to do with him

شیبان قتبانی کہتے ہیں کہ مسلمہ بن مخلد نے ( جو امیر المؤمنین معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی جانب سے بلاد مصر کے گورنر تھے ) رویفع بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ کو ( مصر کے ) نشیبی علاقے کا عامل مقرر کیا، شیبان کہتے ہیں: تو ہم ان کے ساتھ کوم شریک ۱؎ سے علقماء ۱؎ کے لیے یا علقما ء سے کوم شریک کے لیے روانہ ہوئے، علقماء سے ان کی مراد علقام ہی ہے، رویفع بن ثابت نے ( راستے میں مجھ سے ) کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ہم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنے بھائی کا اونٹ اس شرط پر لیتا کہ اس سے جو فائدہ حاصل ہو گا اس کا نصف ( آدھا ) تجھے دوں گا اور نصف ( آدھا ) میں لوں گا، تو ہم میں سے ایک کے حصہ میں پیکان اور پر ہوتا تو دوسرے کے حصہ میں تیر کی لکڑی۔ پھر رویفع نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: رویفع! شاید کہ میرے بعد تمہاری زندگی لمبی ہو تو تم لوگوں کو خبر کر دینا کہ جس شخص نے اپنی داڑھی میں گرہ لگائی ۲؎ یا جانور کے گلے میں تانت کا حلقہ ڈالا یا جانور کے گوبر، لید یا ہڈی سے استنجاء کیا محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس سے بری ہیں ۔
