Rapporté par Abu Dharr رضي الله عنه : Quelques chèvres furent rassemblées auprès du Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Il me dit : « Abu Dharr, conduis-les au bois. » Je les ai donc emmenées à Rabadhah (près de Médine). Il m’arrivait d’être en état d’impureté majeure pendant mon séjour là-bas, et je restais ainsi cinq ou six jours. Ensuite, je suis venu voir le Messager d’Allah ﷺ. Il me dit : « Ô Abu Dharr. » Je gardai le silence. Il dit alors : « Que ta mère te perde, Abu Dharr ! Malheur à ta mère ! » Puis il appela une jeune esclave noire pour moi. Elle apporta un récipient d’eau, tira un rideau pour me cacher, et je me suis caché derrière une chamelle pour me laver. J’ai ressenti comme si un poids énorme m’avait quitté. Il dit : « La terre pure suffit comme moyen d’ablution pour un musulman, même pendant dix ans s’il ne trouve pas d’eau. Mais lorsque tu trouves de l’eau, fais-la toucher ta peau, car c’est mieux. » La version de Musaddad précise : « les chèvres provenaient de l’aumône », et le récit rapporté par ‘Amr est complet

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْوَاسِطِيَّ - عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ اجْتَمَعَتْ غُنَيْمَةٌ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ ابْدُ فِيهَا " . فَبَدَوْتُ إِلَى الرَّبَذَةِ فَكَانَتْ تُصِيبُنِي الْجَنَابَةُ فَأَمْكُثُ الْخَمْسَ وَالسِّتَّ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَبُو ذَرٍّ " . فَسَكَتُّ فَقَالَ " ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ لأُمِّكَ الْوَيْلُ " . فَدَعَا لِي بِجَارِيَةٍ سَوْدَاءَ فَجَاءَتْ بِعُسٍّ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَسَتَرَتْنِي بِثَوْبٍ وَاسْتَتَرْتُ بِالرَّاحِلَةِ وَاغْتَسَلْتُ فَكَأَنِّي أَلْقَيْتُ عَنِّي جَبَلاً فَقَالَ " الصَّعِيدُ الطَّيِّبُ وَضُوءُ الْمُسْلِمِ وَلَوْ إِلَى عَشْرِ سِنِينَ فَإِذَا وَجَدْتَ الْمَاءَ فَأَمِسَّهُ جِلْدَكَ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ " . وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ غُنَيْمَةٌ مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَحَدِيثُ عَمْرٍو أَتَمُّ .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Dharr said:A few goats got collected with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: Abu Dharr, drive them to the wood. I drove them to Rabadhah (a place near Medina). I would have sexual defilement (during my stay there) and I would remain (in this condition) for five or six days. Then I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He said: O Abu Dharr. I kept silence. He then said: May your mother bereave you, Abu Dharr: woe be to your mother. He then called a black slave-girl for me. She brought a vessel which contained water. She then concealed me by drawing a curtain and I concealed myself behind a she-camel, and took a bath. I felt as if I had thrown away a mountain from me. He said: Clean earth is a means for ablution for a Muslim, even for ten years (he does not find water); but when you find water, you should make it touch your skin, for that is better. The version of Musaddad has: "the goats (were collected) from the alms," and the tradition reported by 'Amr is complete

ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کچھ بکریاں جمع ہو گئیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ابوذر! تم ان بکریوں کو جنگل میں لے جاؤ ، چنانچہ میں انہیں ہانک کر مقام ربذہ کی طرف لے گیا، وہاں مجھے جنابت لاحق ہو جایا کرتی تھی اور میں پانچ پانچ چھ چھ روز یوں ہی رہا کرتا، پھر میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا، آپ نے فرمایا: ابوذر! ، میں خاموش رہا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہاری ماں تم پر روئے، ابوذر! تمہاری ماں کے لیے بربادی ہو ۱؎ ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے لیے ایک کالی لونڈی بلائی، وہ ایک بڑے پیالے میں پانی لے کر آئی، اس نے میرے لیے ایک کپڑے کی آڑ کی اور ( دوسری طرف سے ) میں نے اونٹ کی آڑ کی اور غسل کیا، ( غسل کر کے مجھے ایسا لگا ) گویا کہ میں نے اپنے اوپر سے کوئی پہاڑ ہٹا دیا ہو، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پاک مٹی مسلمان کے لیے وضو ( کے پانی کے حکم میں ) ہے، اگرچہ دس برس تک پانی نہ پائے، جب تم پانی پا جاؤ تو اس کو اپنے بدن پر بہا لو، اس لیے کہ یہ بہتر ہے ۔ مسدد کی روایت میں «غنيمة من الصدقة» کے الفاظ ہیں۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عمرو کی روایت زیادہ کامل ہے۔
