Rapporté par Aishah رضي الله عنها : Asma’ a interrogé le Prophète ﷺ, puis a rapporté le reste du récit dans le même sens. Le Prophète ﷺ a dit : « un morceau de tissu parfumé au musc. » Asma’ a dit : « Comment dois-je me purifier avec ? » Il a répondu : « Par la gloire d’Allah ! Purifie-toi avec ! » et il a couvert son visage avec le tissu. Cette version ajoute aussi : « Elle a posé des questions sur le lavage après une souillure majeure. » Il a dit : « Prends de l’eau et purifie-toi du mieux possible, puis verse de l’eau sur toi. » Aishah a dit : Les meilleures femmes sont celles des Ansar. Leur pudeur ne les empêchait pas de s’informer sur la religion et d’approfondir leur compréhension

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُهَاجِرٍ - عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ، سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ " فِرْصَةً مُمَسَّكَةً " . قَالَتْ كَيْفَ أَتَطَهَّرُ بِهَا قَالَ " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ تَطَهَّرِي بِهَا وَاسْتَتِرِي بِثَوْبٍ " . وَزَادَ وَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَقَالَ " تَأْخُذِينَ مَاءَكِ فَتَطَهَّرِينَ أَحْسَنَ الطُّهُورِ وَأَبْلَغَهُ ثُمَّ تَصُبِّينَ عَلَى رَأْسِكِ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ تَدْلُكِينَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ شُئُونَ رَأْسِكِ ثُمَّ تُفِيضِينَ عَلَيْكِ الْمَاءَ " . قَالَ وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ نِعْمَ النِّسَاءُ نِسَاءُ الأَنْصَارِ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَمْنَعُهُنَّ الْحَيَاءُ أَنْ يَسْأَلْنَ عَنِ الدِّينِ وَيَتَفَقَّهْنَ فِيهِ .
Traduction anglaise
Aishah said:Asma' asked the Prophet (ﷺ) and then narrated the rest of the tradition to the same effect. He (the Prophet) said: "a musk-scented piece of cloth." She (Asma') said: How should I purify with it ? He said: By glory of Allah ! Purify with it, and he covered his face with the cloth. This version also adds: "She asked about the washing because of sexual defilement." He said: Take your water and purify yourself as best as possible. Then pour water over yourself. 'Aishah said: The best of the women are the women of the Ansar. Shyness would not prevent them from inquiring about religion and from acquiring deep understanding in it

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا، پھر آگے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث ہے، اس میں ہے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مشک لگا ہوا روئی کا پھاہا ( لے کر اس سے پاکی حاصل کرو ) ، اسماء نے کہا: اس سے میں کیسے پاکی حاصل کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سبحان اللہ! اس سے پاکی حاصل کرو ، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کپڑے سے ( اپنا چہرہ ) چھپا لیا۔ اس حدیث میں اتنا اضافہ ہے کہ اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے غسل جنابت کے بارے میں بھی دریافت کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم پانی لے لو، پھر اس سے خوب اچھی طرح سے پاکی حاصل کرو، پھر اپنے سر پر پانی ڈالو، پھر اسے اتنا ملو کہ پانی بالوں کی جڑوں میں پہنچ جائے، پھر اپنے اوپر پانی بہاؤ ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں: عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: انصار کی عورتیں کتنی اچھی ہیں انہیں دین کا مسئلہ دریافت کرنے اور اس کو سمجھنے میں حیاء مانع نہیں ہوتی۔
