Rapporté par Thawban رضي الله عنه : Shurayh ibn Ubayd a dit : Jubayr ibn Nufayr m’a donné un avis sur le bain rituel après une impureté majeure, disant que Thawban leur avait rapporté qu’ils avaient interrogé le Prophète ﷺ à ce sujet. Il (le Prophète) a répondu : « En ce qui concerne l’homme, il doit défaire ses cheveux et les laver jusqu’à ce que l’eau atteigne les racines. Mais il n’y a pas de mal si la femme ne défait pas ses cheveux et verse trois poignées d’eau sur sa tête. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ فِي أَصْلِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ - قَالَ ابْنُ عَوْفٍ - وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمُ بْنُ زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ أَفْتَانِي جُبَيْرُ بْنُ نُفَيْرٍ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ، مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ أَنَّ ثَوْبَانَ، حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّهُمُ، اسْتَفْتَوُا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " أَمَّا الرَّجُلُ فَلْيَنْشُرْ رَأْسَهُ فَلْيَغْسِلْهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أُصُولَ الشَّعْرِ وَأَمَّا الْمَرْأَةُ فَلاَ عَلَيْهَا أَنْ لاَ تَنْقُضَهُ لِتَغْرِفْ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا ثَلاَثَ غَرَفَاتٍ بِكَفَّيْهَا " .
Traduction anglaise
Narrated Thawban: Shurayh ibn Ubayd said: Jubayr ibn Nufayr gave me a verdict about the bath because of sexual defilement that Thawban reported to them that they asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about it. He (the Prophet) replied: As regards man, he should undo the hair of his head and wash it until the water should reach the roots of the hair. But there is no harm if the woman does not undo it (her hair) and pour three handfuls of water over her head

شریح بن عبید کہتے ہیں: جبیر بن نفیر نے مجھے غسل جنابت کے متعلق مسئلہ بتایا کہ ثوبان رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے حدیث بیان کی ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے غسل جنابت کے متعلق مسئلہ پوچھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مرد تو اپنا سر بالوں کو کھول کر دھوئے یہاں تک کہ پانی بالوں کی جڑوں تک پہنچ جائے، اور عورت اگر اپنے بال نہ کھولے تو کوئی مضائقہ نہیں، اسے چاہیئے کہ وہ اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیوں سے تین لپ پانی لے کر اپنے سر پر ڈال لے ۔
