Rapporté par Aishah (la mère des croyants) رضي الله عنها : Quand l’une d’entre nous était en état d’impureté majeure, elle prenait trois poignées d’eau de cette façon, c’est-à-dire avec les deux mains ensemble, et versait l’eau sur sa tête. Elle prenait une poignée et la jetait d’un côté, puis l’autre de l’autre côté

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا أَصَابَتْهَا جَنَابَةٌ أَخَذَتْ ثَلاَثَ حَفَنَاتٍ هَكَذَا - تَعْنِي بِكَفَّيْهَا جَمِيعًا - فَتَصُبُّ عَلَى رَأْسِهَا وَأَخَذَتْ بِيَدٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَصَبَّتْهَا عَلَى هَذَا الشِّقِّ وَالأُخْرَى عَلَى الشِّقِّ الآخَرِ .
Traduction anglaise
Aishah said:When any of us was sexually defiled, she took three handfuls (of water) in this way, that is to say, with both hands together and poured (water) over her head. She took one handful (of water) and threw it on one side and the other on the other side

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں ہم ( ازواج مطہرات ) میں سے جب کسی کو غسل جنابت کی ضرورت ہوتی تو وہ تین لپ پانی اس طرح لیتی یعنی اپنی دونوں ہتھیلیوں کو ایک ساتھ کر کے، پھر اسے اپنے سر پر ڈالتی اور ایک ہاتھ سے پانی لیتی تو ایک جانب ڈالتی اور دوسرے سے لے کر دوسری جانب ڈالتی۔
