كتاب الطهارة
‘Urwah b. al-Mughirah rapporte de son père رضي الله عنه : Nous avons accompagné le Messager d’Allah ﷺ lors d’un voyage, et j’avais une cruche d’eau. Il est parti pour ses besoins puis est revenu. Je lui ai apporté la cruche et j’ai versé de l’eau sur lui. Il s’est lavé les mains et le visage. Il portait une tunique syrienne à manches étroites. Il a essayé de sortir ses avant-bras, mais les manches étaient trop serrées, alors il a sorti ses mains par dessous la tunique. J’ai voulu lui enlever ses chaussettes, mais il m’a dit : « Laisse-les, car mes pieds étaient propres quand je les ai mises », et il a seulement essuyé dessus. Yunus rapporte d’al-Sha’bi que ‘Urwah tenait ce récit de son père, qui le tenait du Messager d’Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، يَذْكُرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي رَكْبِهِ وَمَعِي إِدَاوَةٌ فَخَرَجَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ فَتَلَقَّيْتُهُ بِالإِدَاوَةِ فَأَفْرَغْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ وَوَجْهَهُ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُخْرِجَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ مِنْ جِبَابِ الرُّومِ ضَيِّقَةُ الْكُمَّيْنِ فَضَاقَتْ فَادَّرَعَهُمَا ادِّرَاعًا ثُمَّ أَهْوَيْتُ إِلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ لأَنْزِعَهُمَا فَقَالَ لِي " دَعِ الْخُفَّيْنِ فَإِنِّي أَدْخَلْتُ الْقَدَمَيْنِ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَهُمَا طَاهِرَتَانِ " . فَمَسَحَ عَلَيْهِمَا . قَالَ أَبِي قَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ شَهِدَ لِي عُرْوَةُ عَلَى أَبِيهِ وَشَهِدَ أَبُوهُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Traduction anglaise
‘Urwah b. al-Mughirah reported his father as saying :We accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to a caravan, and I had a jug of water. He went to relieve himself and came back. I came to him with the jug of water and poured upon him. He washed his hands and face. He had a tight-sleeved Syrian woolen gown. He tried to get his forearms out, but the sleeve of the gown was very narrow, so he brought his hands out from under the gown. I then bent down to take off his socks. But he said to me : Leave them, for my feet were clean when I put them in, and he only wiped over them. Yunus said on the authority of al-Sha’bi that ‘Urwah narrated his tradition from his father before him, and his father reported it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ چند سواروں میں تھے اور میرے ساتھ ایک چھاگل ( چھوٹا برتن ) تھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قضائے حاجت کے لیے نکلے پھر واپس آئے تو میں چھاگل لے کر آپ کے پاس پہنچا، میں نے آپ ( کے ہاتھ ) پر پانی ڈالا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دونوں پہونچے اور چہرہ مبارک دھویا، پھر دونوں ہاتھ آستین سے نکالنا چاہا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ملک روم کے بنے ہوئے جبوں میں سے ایک جبہ زیب تن کئے ہوئے تھے، جس کی آستین تنگ و چست تھی، اس کی وجہ سے ہاتھ نہ نکل سکے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اندر ہی سے نکال لیا، پھر میں آپ کے پاؤں سے موزے نکالنے کے لیے جھکا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے فرمایا: موزوں کو رہنے دو، میں نے یہ پاکی کی حالت میں پہنے ہیں ، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان پر مسح کیا۔ شعبی کہتے ہیں: یقیناً میرے سامنے عروہ بن مغیرہ نے اپنے والد سے اسے روایت کیا ہے اور یقیناً ان کے والد نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نقل کیا ہے۔
