Rapporté par Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Quand l’un d’entre vous se réveille, qu’il ne mette pas sa main dans le récipient avant de l’avoir lavée trois fois, car aucun de vous ne sait où sa main est restée ou ce qu’elle a touché pendant la nuit. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْمُرَادِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ أَوْ أَيْنَ كَانَتْ تَطُوفُ يَدُهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abu Hurairah reported :I heard the Messenger of Allah (May Peace be upon him) say: When any of you wakes up from sleep, he should not put his hand in the utensil until he washes it three times, for none of you knows where his hand remained during the night or where it went round

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنی نیند سے بیدار ہو تو اپنا ہاتھ برتن میں نہ ڈالے جب تک کہ اسے تین بار دھو نہ لے اس لیے کہ اسے نہیں معلوم کہ اس کا ہاتھ رات میں کہاں رہا؟ یا کدھر پھرتا رہا ۔
