Rapporté par 'Aishah : Quand le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) voulait faire l’I’tikaf, il priait la prière de l’aube puis entrait dans l’endroit où il voulait s’isoler. Il voulait faire l’I’tikaf pendant les dix derniers jours de Ramadan, alors il a demandé qu’on lui installe une tente. Hafsah a aussi fait installer une tente, et quand Zaynab a vu cela, elle a demandé qu’on lui en installe une aussi. Quand le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a vu cela, il a dit : "Est-ce la piété que vous cherchez ?" Il n’a donc pas fait l’I’tikaf ce Ramadan-là, mais l’a reporté à dix jours en Shawwal

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِي الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِيهِ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ الْعَشْرَ الأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَأَمَرَ فَضُرِبَ لَهُ خِبَاءٌ وَأَمَرَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَضُرِبَ لَهَا خِبَاءٌ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ زَيْنَبُ خِبَاءَهَا أَمَرَتْ فَضُرِبَ لَهَا خِبَاءٌ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " آلْبِرَّ تُرِدْنَ " . فَلَمْ يَعْتَكِفْ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَاعْتَكَفَ عَشْرًا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Aishah said:"When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to observe I'tikaf, [2] he would pray Fajr then enter the place where he wnated to observe I'tikaf. He wanted to observe I'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan, so he commanded that a Khiba' (tent) be pitched for him. Then Hafsah ordered that a Khiba' be pitched for her, and when Zainab saw her tent she ordered that a Khiba' be pitched for her too. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw that he said: 'Is it righteousness that you seek?' And he did not observe I'tikaf in Ramadan, and observed I'tikaf for ten days in Shawwal (instead)." [1] Al-Khiba': "One of the house of the Bedouins made of Wabir (camel or goat fur) or wool, not of hair (from other pelts). And it would have two or three posts." (An-Nihayah) [2] Seclusion in the Masjid for the sake of devotion to Allah

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب اعتکاف کا ارادہ فرماتے تو فجر پڑھتے، پھر آپ اس جگہ میں داخل ہو جاتے جہاں آپ اعتکاف کرنے کا ارادہ فرماتے، چنانچہ آپ نے ایک رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں اعتکاف کا ارادہ فرمایا، تو آپ نے ( خیمہ لگانے کا ) حکم دیا تو آپ کے لیے خیمہ لگایا گیا، ام المؤمنین حفصہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بھی حکم دیا تو ان کے لیے بھی ایک خیمہ لگایا گیا، پھر جب ام المؤمنین زینب رضی اللہ عنہا نے ان کے خیمے دیکھے تو انہوں نے بھی حکم دیا تو ان کے لیے بھی ایک خیمہ لگایا گیا، جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے یہ خیمے دیکھے تو فرمایا: کیا تم لوگ اس سے نیکی کا ارادہ رکھتی ہو؟ ۱؎، چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( اس سال ) رمضان میں اعتکاف نہیں کیا ( اور اس کے بدلے ) شوال میں دس دنوں کا اعتکاف کیا۔
