Rapporté par 'Aishah : Umm Habibah et Umm Salamah ont parlé d’une église qu’elles avaient vue en Éthiopie, où il y avait des images. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : "Ces gens-là, quand un homme pieux mourait parmi eux, ils construisaient un lieu de culte sur sa tombe et y plaçaient des images. Ils seront les pires créatures devant Allah au Jour de la Résurrection

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ حَبِيبَةَ، وَأُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ذَكَرَتَا كَنِيسَةً رَأَتَاهَا بِالْحَبَشَةِ فِيهَا تَصَاوِيرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ أُولَئِكَ إِذَا كَانَ فِيهِمُ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ فَمَاتَ بَنَوْا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مَسْجِدًا وَصَوَّرُوا تِيكَ الصُّوَرَ أُولَئِكَ شِرَارُ الْخَلْقِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from 'Aishah that Umm Habibah and Umm Salamah mentioned a church that they had seen in Ethiopia, in which there were images. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:"Those people, if there was a righteous man among them, when he died they built a place of worship over his grave and made those images. They will be the most evil of creation before Allah on the Day of Resurrection

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ ام المؤمنین ام حبیبہ اور ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہم دونوں نے ایک کنیسہ ( گرجا گھر ) کا ذکر کیا جسے ان دونوں نے حبشہ میں دیکھا تھا، اس میں تصویریں تھیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ لوگ ایسے تھے کہ جب ان میں کا کوئی صالح آدمی مرتا تو یہ اس کی قبر کو سجدہ گاہ بنا لیتے، اور اس کی مورتیاں بنا کر رکھ لیتے، یہ لوگ قیامت کے دن اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک بدترین مخلوق ہوں گے ۔
