Rapporté par Talq bin 'Ali : Nous sommes partis en délégation auprès du Prophète (ﷺ) ; nous lui avons prêté allégeance et prié avec lui. Nous lui avons dit que dans notre région il y avait une église qui nous appartenait. Nous lui avons demandé de nous donner l’eau restante de ses ablutions. Alors il a demandé de l’eau, a fait ses ablutions et s’est rincé la bouche, puis il a versé l’eau dans un récipient et nous a dit : "Partez, et quand vous serez de retour chez vous, détruisez votre église, aspergez ce lieu avec cette eau et prenez-le comme mosquée." Nous avons dit : "Notre terre est loin et il fait très chaud ; l’eau va s’évaporer." Il a dit : "Ajoutez-y de l’eau, cela ne fera que l’améliorer." Nous sommes donc partis, et une fois arrivés, nous avons démoli notre église, aspergé le lieu avec l’eau et en avons fait une mosquée, puis nous y avons appelé à la prière. Le moine, qui était un homme de Tayy', en entendant l’appel à la prière, a dit : "C’est un appel véridique." Ensuite, il est parti vers une colline et nous ne l’avons plus jamais revu

أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ مُلاَزِمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، طَلْقِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا وَفْدًا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَايَعْنَاهُ وَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَهُ وَأَخْبَرْنَاهُ أَنَّ بِأَرْضِنَا بِيعَةً لَنَا فَاسْتَوْهَبْنَاهُ مِنْ فَضْلِ طَهُورِهِ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَتَمَضْمَضَ ثُمَّ صَبَّهُ فِي إِدَاوَةٍ وَأَمَرَنَا فَقَالَ " اخْرُجُوا فَإِذَا أَتَيْتُمْ أَرْضَكُمْ فَاكْسِرُوا بِيعَتَكُمْ وَانْضَحُوا مَكَانَهَا بِهَذَا الْمَاءِ وَاتَّخِذُوهَا مَسْجِدًا " . قُلْنَا إِنَّ الْبَلَدَ بَعِيدٌ وَالْحَرَّ شَدِيدٌ وَالْمَاءَ يَنْشَفُ . فَقَالَ " مُدُّوهُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَزِيدُهُ إِلاَّ طِيبًا " . فَخَرَجْنَا حَتَّى قَدِمْنَا بَلَدَنَا فَكَسَرْنَا بِيعَتَنَا ثُمَّ نَضَحْنَا مَكَانَهَا وَاتَّخَذْنَاهَا مَسْجِدًا فَنَادَيْنَا فِيهِ بِالأَذَانِ . قَالَ وَالرَّاهِبُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ طَيِّئٍ فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ الأَذَانَ قَالَ دَعْوَةُ حَقٍّ . ثُمَّ اسْتَقْبَلَ تَلْعَةً مِنْ تِلاَعِنَا فَلَمْ نَرَهُ بَعْدُ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Talq bin 'Ali said:"We went out as a delegation to the Prophet (ﷺ); we gave him our oath of allegiance and prayed with him. We told him that in our land there was a church that belonged to us. We asked him to give us the leftovers of his purification (Wudu' water). So he called for water, performed Wudu' and rinsed out his mouth, then he poured it into a vessel and said to us: 'Leave, and when you return to your land, demolish your church, and sprinkle this water on that place, and take it as a Masjid.' We said: 'Our land is far away and it is very hot; the water is far away and it is very hot; the water will dry up.' He said: 'Add more water to it, for that will only make it better.' So we left and when we came to our land we demolished our church, then we sprinkled the water on that place and took it as a Masjid, and we called the Adhan in it. The monk was a man from Tayy', and when he heard the Adhan, he said: 'It is a true call.' Then he headed toward one of the hills and we never saw him again

طلق بن علی رضی اللہ عنہ روایت کرتے ہیں کہ ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی طرف وفد کی شکل میں نکلے، ہم نے آ کر آپ سے بیعت کی اور آپ کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، اور آپ کو بتایا کہ ہماری سر زمین میں ہمارا ایک گرجا گھر ہے، ہم نے آپ سے آپ کے وضو کے بچے ہوئے پانی کی درخواست کی، تو آپ نے پانی منگوایا وضو کیا، اور کلی کی پھر اسے ایک برتن میں انڈیل دیا، اور ہمیں ( جانے ) کا حکم دیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم لوگ جاؤ اور جب تم لوگ اپنے علاقے میں پہنچنا تو گرجا ( کلیسا ) کو توڑ ڈالنا، اور اس جگہ اس پانی کو چھڑک دینا اور اسے مسجد بنا لینا ، ہم نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! ہمارا ملک دور ہے، اور گرمی سخت ہے، پانی سوکھ جاتا ہے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس میں اور پانی ملا لیا کرنا کیونکہ تم جس قدر ملاؤ گے اس کی خوشبو بڑھتی جائے گی ؛ چنانچہ ہم نکلے یہاں تک کہ اپنے ملک میں آ گئے، تو ہم نے گرجا کو توڑ ڈالا، پھر ہم نے اس جگہ پر یہ پانی چھڑکا اور اسے مسجد بنا لیا، پھر ہم نے اس میں اذان دی، اس گرجا کا راہب قبیلہ طے کا ایک آدمی تھا، جب اس نے اذان سنی تو کہا: یہ حق کی پکار ہے، پھر اس نے ہمارے ٹیلوں میں ایک ٹیلے کی طرف چلا گیا، اس کے بعد ہم نے اسے کبھی نہیں دیکھا۔
