Rapporté par Ibrahim : J'avais l'habitude de réciter le Coran à mon père sur la route, et si je récitais un verset qui demandait une prosternation, il se prosternait. Je lui ai dit : "Ô mon père, te prosternes-tu dans la rue ?" Il a répondu : "J'ai entendu Abu Dharr dire : J'ai demandé au Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) : 'Quelle mosquée a été construite en premier ?' Il a répondu : 'Al-Masjid Al-Haram.' J'ai dit : 'Et ensuite ?' Il a dit : 'Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.' J'ai demandé : 'Combien de temps entre les deux ?' Il a répondu : 'Quarante ans. أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَى أَبِي الْقُرْآنَ فِي السِّكَّةِ فَإِذَا قَرَأْتُ السَّجْدَةَ سَجَدَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَتِ أَتَسْجُدُ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ يَقُولُ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَىُّ مَسْجِدٍ وُضِعَ أَوَّلاً قَالَ " الْمَسْجِدُ الْحَرَامُ " . قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَىُّ قَالَ " الْمَسْجِدُ الأَقْصَى " . قُلْتُ وَكَمْ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ " أَرْبَعُونَ عَامًا وَالأَرْضُ لَكَ مَسْجِدٌ فَحَيْثُمَا أَدْرَكْتَ الصَّلاَةَ فَصَلِّ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibrahim said:"I used to recite Qur'an to my father on the road, and if I recited a verse in which prostration was required, he would prostrate. I said: 'O my father, do you prostrate on the street?' He said: 'I heard Abu Dharr say: "I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): 'Which Masjid was built first?' He said: 'Al-Masjid Al-Haram.' [1] I said: 'Then which?' He said: 'Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa.' [2] I said: 'How long was there between them?' He said: 'Forty years. And the earth is a Masjid (or a place of prostration) for you, so wherever you are when the time for prayer comes, pray.'" [1] In Makkah. [2] "Furthest Masjid", meaning the Masjid in Jerulsalem

ابراہیم تیمی کہتے ہیں کہ گلی میں راستہ چلتے ہوئے میں اپنے والد ( یزید بن شریک ) کو قرآن سنا رہا تھا، جب میں نے آیت سجدہ پڑھی تو انہوں نے سجدہ کیا، میں نے کہا: ابا محترم! کیا آپ راستے میں سجدہ کرتے ہیں؟ کہا: میں نے ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا کہ وہ کہہ رہے تھے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا کہ سب سے پہلے کون سی مسجد بنائی گئی؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مسجد الحرام ، میں نے عرض کیا: پھر کون سی؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مسجد الاقصیٰ ۱؎ میں نے پوچھا: ان دونوں کے درمیان کتنا فاصلہ ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: چالیس سال کا، اور پوری روئے زمین تمہارے لیے سجدہ گاہ ہے، تو تم جہاں کہیں نماز کا وقت پا جاؤ نماز پڑھ لو ۔
