Rapporté par Makhramah bin Sulaiman, d'après Kuraib, l'affranchi d'Ibn 'Abbas : J'ai demandé à Ibn 'Abbas : "Comment le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) priait-il la nuit ?" Il a répondu : "Il priait onze unités, dont le Witr, puis il dormait profondément au point que je l'entendais ronfler. Ensuite, Bilal venait le voir et disait : 'La prière, ô Messager d'Allah !' Alors il se levait, priait deux unités courtes, puis dirigeait la prière pour les gens, et il ne faisait pas d'ablution

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، أَنَّ كُرَيْبًا، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ قُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَتْ صَلاَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِاللَّيْلِ فَوَصَفَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً بِالْوِتْرِ ثُمَّ نَامَ حَتَّى اسْتَثْقَلَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يَنْفُخُ وَأَتَاهُ بِلاَلٌ فَقَالَ الصَّلاَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَصَلَّى بِالنَّاسِ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Makhramah bin Sulaiman that Kuraib - the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas - told him:"I asked Ibn 'Abbas: 'How did the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) pray at night?' He said: 'He prayed eleven Rak'ahs including Witr, then he slept deeply until I could hear him snoring, then Bilal came to him and said: "The prayer, O Messenger of Allah!" Then he got up and prayed two brief Rak'ahs then led the people in prayer, and he did not perform Wudu

کریب مولی ابن عباس کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تہجد ( صلاۃ اللیل ) کیسی تھی؟ تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وتر کے ساتھ گیارہ رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر سو گئے یہاں تک کہ نیند گہری ہو گئی، پھر میں نے آپ کو خراٹے لیتے ہوئے دیکھا، اتنے میں آپ کے پاس بلال رضی اللہ عنہ آئے، اور عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! نماز؟ تو آپ نے اٹھ کر دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی اور ( پھر سے ) وضو نہیں کیا۔
