كتاب الزينة
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ avait une bague en or et il la portait avec la pierre (Fass) contre la paume de sa main, et les gens faisaient de même. Ensuite, il s’est assis sur le Minbar et a dit : « Je portais cette bague et mettais sa pierre à l’intérieur. » Puis il l’a jetée en disant : « Par Allah, je ne la porterai plus jamais. » Et les gens ont aussi jeté leurs bagues

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَكَانَ يَلْبَسُهُ فَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ فَصَنَعَ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَنَزَعَهُ وَقَالَ " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ وَأَجْعَلُ فَصَّهُ مِنْ دَاخِلٍ " . فَرَمَى بِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:The Messenger of Allah [SAW] had a ring made of gold and he used to wear it with the stone (Fass) against his palm, and the people did likewise. Then he sat on the Minbar and said: "I used to wear this ring and put its stone (Fass) on the inside." Then he threw it away and said: "By Allah, I will never wear it again." And the people threw their rings away
