كتاب الزينة
Rapporté par Abu Shaikh, qui a entendu Mu’awiyah dire : Quand un groupe de Compagnons de Muhammad ﷺ était avec lui : « Savez-vous que le Prophète d’Allah ﷺ a interdit de porter de l’or sauf s’il est en petits morceaux ? » Ils ont dit : « Par Allah, oui. »

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَعِنْدَهُ، جَمْعٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلاَّ مُقَطَّعًا قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Abu Shaikh that he heard Mu'awiyah say,:When a group of the Companions of Muhammad [SAW] were with him: "Do you know that the Prophet of Allah [SAW] forbade wearing gold unless it was broken (into smaller pieces)?" They said: "By Allah, yes
