Hadith 4243 — Livre 41: The Book of al-Fara' and al-'Atirah

Rapporté par Salamah bin Al-Muhabbaq : Lors de la campagne de Tabuk, le Prophète d’Allah ﷺ demanda de l’eau à une femme. Elle dit : « Je n’ai qu’une outre faite d’une bête morte (non abattue). » Il demanda : « Ne l’as-tu pas tannée ? » Elle répondit : « Bien sûr. » Il dit : « Son tannage équivaut à son abattage. » (Faible)

أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جَوْنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبِّقِ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ دَعَا بِمَاءٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ امْرَأَةٍ قَالَتْ مَا عِنْدِي إِلاَّ فِي قِرْبَةٍ لِي مَيْتَةٍ . قَالَ " أَلَيْسَ قَدْ دَبَغْتِهَا " . قَالَتْ بَلَى . قَالَ " فَإِنَّ دِبَاغَهَا ذَكَاتُهَا " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Salamah bin Al-Muhabbaq that:during the campaign of Tabuk, the Prophet of Allah called for water from a woman. She said: "I only have a waterskin of mine made from an (unslaughtered) dead animal." He said: "Didn't you tan it?" She said: "Of course." He said: "Then it's tanning is its slaughter". (Daif)
